Jane Austen's 1811 novel, "Sense and Sensibility" has been a favorit with her modern-day fans. The novel has produced at least three televisi and two movie adaptations and a literary parody. However, this review is about the seven-part, 1981 BBC adaptation.

Twenty-four years after the BBC aired its 1971 version of Jane Austen’s 1818 novel, ”Persuasion”; and twelve years before ITV aired its adaptation; Columbia Pictures released its own version on British televisi and in movie theaters across the U.S. The movie went on to become highly acclaimed, the winner of a BAFTA TV award for Best Single Drama, and regarded as the definitive version of Austen’s novel.

"NORTHANGER ABBEY" (1986) Review

Most movie and televisi adaptations of Jane Austen’s novels are either highly acclaimed atau perhaps even liked oleh fan and critics alike.
