Why does House use his walking stick in his right hand?

I know Hugh Laurie has talked about it too, but I can't find any link right now.

Basically physiotherapists would encourage using the cane on the opposite side to the injury, but it really comes down to what the individual person feels most comfortable with, particularly if they have long term injuries. Also, it fits with House's character that he'd be lebih concerned with how it works for him rather than follow a physio's orders.
