Are people right when they say "Goth is just a phase"?

It depends on who anda are. For some it is a phase but this means they were never true goths in the first place. True goths stay like this forever usually atau at least well into their adulthood. A common thing anda may see at schools now-a-days are mall goths and emos. Mall goths and emos are usually kids just trying to piss there parents off atau are depressed atau sad kids. (no disrepsect meant to any emos. Emos have a different subculture from goth though emo does tend to fade away as one grows up). If anda want to keep goth then just emerge yourself in the subculture. Just because your an adult doesnt mean anda cant be goth. hope this helps!

The truth about it is that goth can be a phase, a lot of teenagers and young adults and sometimes even young kids say there goth, but they grow out of it. But the real goths, the proper ones, thats not a phase, thats real. :)

I think that it's people who don't understand who say that. To be gothic isn't a phase, it's a way of being and a whim.

It can be, it all depends when anda don't like to be considered as a goth anymore, then right there it will be a phase.

it can be at times sometime people will just go through it and then stop others stay goth
