offers up yet more emotional confrontations, bloody demises and glorious comebacks in \'No One\'.
Here are the main things that we can\'t stop thinking about this week:
Thank Christ. It\'s fair to say that Arya\'s Faceless Men training storyline has been one of the rare blips this year, so it was a relief to see that it
to have come to a conclusion with the (offscreen) death of The Waif.
After Arya managed to gather her strength enough to fight back, she was able to somehow best her irritating rival in a fight – being blind all that time clearly helped her after sending the room they were in into total darkness.
"A girl is called Arya Stark. And I\'m going home," she proudly told Jaqen in the House of Black and White, and he appeared to let her go unharmed. Please say that\'s it now?
This is why it\'s sometimes silly to look too much into teaser pictures. After seeing the above photo last week, many fans predicted the return of Syrio, Arya\'s former sword trainer. You\'ve got to say, that silhouette looks just like him.
But sadly, Syrio did not appear whatsoever, making us all feel a bit silly. But there\'s still hope, right? Right?
Thankfully, we didn\'t have to see secret BFFs Brienne and Jaime fight it out to the death (this week at least), but it came close.
As she and Podrick arrived at Riverrun, she explained to Jaime that she had come to recruit the Blackfish and the Tully army for Sansa, but he refused to surrender the castle. However, she proposed that if she convinced the Blackfish to surrender, then Jaime would allow him and the Tullys safe passage to the North. Surprisingly, Jaime agreed - but only until nightfall.
As expected, the stubborn Blackfish refused to budge. After Jaime had a little chat with the captured Edmure and threatened to kill every Tully he found (including Edmure and his infant son), he sent Edmure to parley with the Blackfish.
However, Edmure was a bit of a Trojan Horse, and he ordered the Tully soldiers to surrender Riverrun. The Blackfish quickly helped Brienne and Podrick to escape, but stayed behind to fight it out. He didn\'t last long.
As Brienne and Pod escaped along the river, Brienne and Jaime shared an emotional wave goodbye. Why can\'t they see that they love each other? Well, at least she has Tormund.
The Hound began his vengeance rampage in style by gutting four of the Brotherhood Without Banners with ease, and soon stumbled upon Beric Dondarrion and Thoros of Myr (welcome back chaps, it\'s been too long).
Beric allowed Sandor to kill two of the three remaining men responsible for the attack on the village, and later attempted to recruit Sandor into the Brotherhood.
He also explained that the Brotherhood intend to head north to fight the White Walkers. Does this mean we might eventually see round 2 of Brienne vs Sandor? We want him to be on the good side, dammit.
If you thought The Hound\'s return was to facilitate a battle between him and his Mountain brother, think again.
Tommen sent the Faith Militant to take Cersei to see the High Sparrow, but she didn\'t want to take orders from little shits today, thanks very much. Instead, Gregor brutally attacked one of the Faith Militant after he foolishly thought he could win against a tank.
She then attended a royal announcement from her scrote of a son, who revealed that Cersei and Loras\'s trials will be held, but that the church has now outlawed trial by combat. This means her plan of Gregor fighting for her has been cancelled. Dammit! Surely there\'s no way the Hound won\'t face the Mountain
After hearing the crappy news about the trial, Qyburn whispered into Cersei\'s ear about a so-called "rumour" that she asked him to investigate.
He responded that it is not just a rumour, but that it is "more, much more". What the hell can they be talking about? All signs point towards the discovery of The Mad King\'s wildfire, but at this point it could be anything.
so far has to be Varys and Tyrion, and sadly the two were separated this week.
After warning Tyrion not to trust the Red Priests as Meereen returned to life, Varys left for Westeros in the hunt for more allies and ships. Tyrion was clearly sad to say goodbye to his unexpected mate, so much so that he even tried to get Missandei and Grey Worm to let their hair down with a glass of wine. And Grey Worm actually made a joke. A joke!
Later, the Masters were back with a vengeance as they began attacking the city in search of their "property" as Missandei put it. As the fleet got closer to Meereen, Daenerys and Drogon FINALLY returned to save the day.
- HBO has clearly spent its entire budget on this episode\'s epic battle scenes
- Jon asks Melisandre to not bring him back from the dead this time
