Game of Thrones Finale\'s Big Death Just Destroyed Us And All Our Hopes and Dreams

Spoiler alert! If you haven\'t yet watched the season five finale of

 just sent season five out in a blaze of glory!" but then the episode ended and now we just feel empty and sad and broken, and while you can deep dive into the episode with our full recap, we first must talk about one very important thing whose name is Jon Snow.

fans all over the world have been very worried lately as to what fate would befall Mr. Snow, especially given his fate at the end of the book,

. The last we heard of him, he had passed out after being stabbed multiple times by mutinous Night\'s Watchmen, much to the dismay of literally everyone because Jon Snow is such a kind sweet baby who DOESN\'T DESERVE TO DIE. 

So, despite having taken a few major detours this season, did the show stay faithful to the books in this case?

season 5 finale was the most brutal episode ever

Jon Snow was brutally stabbed by his fellow watchmen after being lured outside by the prospects of his uncle Benjen returning. Instead, all he found was a sign that said "traitor," and then the watchmen began to stab him one by one, all "for the Watch," as they said. Olly was the one to deliver the final stab. 

Jon fell to the ground as his blood started to pool around him, and then the episode ended, just like that. While the book left it open-ended, Kit Harington confirmed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that Jon is for sure dead, as far as he knows. 

"I\'ve been told I\'m dead," he says. "I\'m dead. I\'m not coming back next season. So that\'s all I can tell you, really." 

Um, no. We don\'t accept that, and are planning an extensive protest complete with pitchforks and torches and a whole lot of shouting and perhaps a sit-in and a couple of hunger strikes.
