Mermaid-Tail picked Prince Naveen:
It's a little weird to me that the quieter ones we know very little about seem to be getting so many votes over characters we know, and know are nice guys. Quiet doesn't mean not possesive, yeah angry guys are to be avoided, but there are also lots of possesive quiet guys too. They get all insecure and shy and take it out on their partners. I can see Charming being anti social at a party then begrudging Cinderella for socialising. "you talked to that knight more than me!" "But, you were hardly talking at all. You kept trying to drag me off to the corner to stand on our own" "Well, you liked that when we first met" "I thought that's because you wanted to get to know me away from the crowd, not because you're a party hating anti social" "oh, well I'm sure that knight loooooves parties! Why don't you go marry him *bursts into fake tears*" till she doesn't bother being as social as she used to, to keep him from complaining. I'm not saying he was like that, this is Disney after all, so none of their relationships would end this way, but when it comes to which personality type would be most likely to be possesive and jerky realistically, prince Charming would actually be fairly high on my list. And he seems at least a bit controlling the way he proposes. He does this big proclomation that he'll marry whoever fits the shoe, but how does he know she even wants to marry him? Last time he saw her she was fleeing from him. He announces their engagement to the world before he's actually asked or got a yes from her.

Naveen can only just control himself, so I dont see him being too controlling to anyone else :)

Argh see. I knew it. I knew Prince Charming would be eliminated this round, when I don't think he should.

*copies and pastes my paragraph from the other round*

I do like Prince Charming but I feel that he'd hardly ever let Cinderella out of his sight for fear that she might run off again (like on their first meeting) - I feel that he'd be extremely old fashioned and not really let her do anything. He'd be nice to her, obviously, not cruel or anything like that, but I just think he'd still make her do all the housework and stuff like that. "Sorry Cinderella, you cant go out tonight! You haven't massaged my feet yet. Remember, we have that hour session? Don't tell me you forgot." -- Maybe not as extreme as that though haha, I just think he'd hardly let her out of his sight. Also what Mermaid-Tail said.

I think the results are gonna be so predictable. I know people have different opinions but still. It does turn a bit controversial when 3 people say the same thing when there's only 4 comments.

dweeb picked Shang:
Well, there are no right or wrong answers in picks. It's all a matter of opinion like you said.

Personally, I think Shang is one of the least controlling even though there's a high chance he'll come in first place. He totally respects Mulan as a warrior and considers her a hero. He treats her as his equal and yet because he is tough, people think he's the biggest douchebag.

Prince Charming would be my next vote because although I was seriously entertained by Mermaid-Tail and Mongoose09's scenarios of why he would be a jerk, I find him to be very passive, like Cinderella. He doesn't make any effort to find her after she runs away. I think if anything, he's just lazy. I feel as though he wouldn't try to possess Cinderella but would more likely ignore her or be neutral towards her. He shows no real sign of any personality which is why I don't see him as being the jerkiest.

I agree with you about Shang. I don't think he's the least possessive out of the remaining, but I definately don't think he's the most either. But he'll probably win I should think.

I understand your argument about Prince Charming but if he's lazy then surely he wouldn't wanna do anything for himself? I feel he'd make Cinderella do basically everything, just like the stepsisters and stepmother. But not in a cruel way. He'd simply do it because he's old fashioned and thinks its right. But yeah he's a very neutral character, so I can see why people would interpret him in different ways.

I think he'd be a bit of a jerk, but not knowingly.

Yeah, I see your point. But the thing is these votes are kind of based on our interpretations of what we'd imagine each guy is like. Which would explain why there are so many different opinions.

princesslullaby picked Prince Naveen:
I hope Shang doesn't win. HE doesn't seem possesive of her at all. In fact, he seems to push her away at times. Even in the sequel when they are together, he lets her do her own thing, though he doesn't understand it. I'll be pissed if Shang wins.

SORRY- the beast should win. HE'S INCREDIBLY controlling of Belle! "YOU CANT LEAVE THE CASTLE"

blah blah blah. he's super controlling.

I agree princesslullaby, on both notes. But odds are Shang will win or John Smith. People only seem to remember Beast from the third act of the film, and not the first two.

John Smith is another one who shouldn't get so far up. Even though he wants Pocahontas to come with him or he'll stay with her, that's out of love. People who love each other want to be together, that's just how it is. But I think he really respects Pocahontas as a person and lets her have some of the power during their relationship. He never objectifies her, he listens to her opinions and lets her influence his own. He truly loves her as more than a pretty object.
