Even though Merida and Angus are close buddies, the real bonding between Merida and her brothers happens in the absolute crisis only. Before, it was more of friends with benefits.

I feel the same way, friends with benefits, about Rapunzel team as well.Only Rapunzel and Pascal were really together and others just joined for their own benefit. Though they do more together but becomes a solid team only by the end, same as Merida team.

I don't find them to be much of a team. They only exploit one another if the opportunity presents itself, and it comes in their favor.

I agree pretty much entirely with wavesurf. They didn't like each other very much and didn't seem to want to work together.

Though Merida and Angus are best buddy and help each other, but not with the triplets. They didn't want to work together and just want to help Merida if she give them some food.
