A lot of people on fanpop say that Merida is selfish and not not a good role model. Personally, I think that is far from the truth.

Merida wasn't being totally selfish when she went to the witch. Impulsive, yes. Her mind was clouded oleh all the emotion she felt and acted before she thought things through. When she asked for a potion that would change her mother, I think she wanted something to change her mothers MIND. Not her personality.
I think Merida is actually quite selfless. When her plan to change her mother went awry, she didn't even hesitate to help her mom. She went totally out of her way to teach her mom to be a beruang and never left her side.

The biggest thing Merida haters forget is how selfless Merida was was when she volunteered to marry one of the suitors when she realized how bad things had become. She saw that her freedom was not worth all this fighting and hate between the clans and that she would do anything to repair it.

All in all, I believe that Merida may have made one bad decision but proved herself oleh doing everything she possibly could to fix things, even if it meant sacrificing her freedom, which she eventually got to keep anyways. Her actions were very brave.

THEDisneyFreak BRAVO BRAVO! I hope it won't offend you, but I've already started working on a Merida Defense article, so when I publish it you know it wasn't me just copying you?

egyptprincess7 Not only that but Merida admitted to her mistakes toward the end of the movie and realized that her mother WAS and IS there for her. She was able to develop as the movie went on. Not only that but she and her mother had a miscommunication. They both wanted each other to LISTEN. Merida should have been clear when she asked the witch for a potion to change her mom.

Silverrose1991 While I love Merida, she is certainly not selfless. She doesn't want to take any responsabilities and should be more grateful for the freedom she has: if she was of lower birth (servant, peasant, etc) she would have even less. But overall I agree: Merida is amazing!

I don't know if I'm alone on this, but I've become quite tired of everyone bashing the earlier princesses and saying they're bad role model for girls. Personally, I think parents shouldn't be relying on fictional, animated characters to be the role models... but that's a whole different issue altogether. In this artikel I want to address the common complaints towards the princesses: waiting around for/needing a man, not being independent, etc...

My Prettiest Princesses

I used to think melati wasn't all that pretty. But when I watched her film I realized she's much prettier in motion than she is in still clips. Even so, though, I never found her all that attractive, even as a kid. She has a big nose and her eyes look freakishly large in a lot of scenes. When they get her right, she's pretty, but that's only in about 2 scenes. I think she looks like an alien most of the time.

Why tangled and Frozen are different.

A lot of people have been complaining that Frozen and tangled are so alike, how Anna and Rapunzel look like twins atau cousins and blah....well, I'm here to give reasons on why they're different.

1: Anna and Rapunzel

I know, I know, so Anna and Rapunzel "look alike." I feel like the fan say this because they were both structured the same, with a circle/oval head, the young eyes, and young face. Hey, at least they don't have the same hair color! Anna and Rapunzel were both made up oleh the same base, meaning the same body, but with different looks, that's all!

In defence of Rapunzel

Rapunzel is one of my favourite princesses. I'm tired of listening to people criticizing Rapunzel and saying that they don't like her for the same reasons, so I wanted to write an artikel to explain why I don't agree with them.

Rapunzel is flawless

She is not perfect! She's very insecure and at the beginning she's not very brave. Also, she's indecisive. Of course, these flaws don't make her a bad character, but it's just easier to relate to her.

Rapunzel remains the same during all the film, she doesn't change.

Ok the truth is that we don't see a dramatic change in her character, like with Eugene....

I can't see many similarities between the two, but to be fair she was animated oleh pixar and not Disney. They both seem like strong independent women though :). And I found a picture where they have similar hair!

I can see similarities in face shape. Also their eyes are both curvy. I have to admit that Kristen looks lebih like the original concept to the actual one. I Believe it was changed possibly to the complaints of fan that she looked too much like Rapunzel.

Hi everyone! Well, I see others write their daftar of favorit princesses so I decide to follow suit and to write my own. It would be fun for me to write this after all, as I think... my daftar has changed somewhat in the past month, but it is still basically the same.

9. Tiana

I like all the princesses a lot, but Tiana is my least favorit of the bunch. Tiana has her good points in my opinion oleh her everlasting dream to open up her restaurant and her motivation to work I find inspiring. But still, she just isn't quite as fun as I would prefer in a princess... a bit too serious for my tastes....
