A lot of people on fanpop say that Merida is selfish and not not a good role model. Personally, I think that is far from the truth.

Merida wasn't being totally selfish when she went to the witch. Impulsive, yes. Her mind was clouded oleh all the emotion she felt and acted before she thought things through. When she asked for a potion that would change her mother, I think she wanted something to change her mothers MIND. Not her personality.
I think Merida is actually quite selfless. When her plan to change her mother went awry, she didn't even hesitate to help her mom. She went totally out of her way to teach her mom to be a beruang and never left her side.

The biggest thing Merida haters forget is how selfless Merida was was when she volunteered to marry one of the suitors when she realized how bad things had become. She saw that her freedom was not worth all this fighting and hate between the clans and that she would do anything to repair it.

All in all, I believe that Merida may have made one bad decision but proved herself oleh doing everything she possibly could to fix things, even if it meant sacrificing her freedom, which she eventually got to keep anyways. Her actions were very brave.

THEDisneyFreak BRAVO BRAVO! I hope it won't offend you, but I've already started working on a Merida Defense article, so when I publish it you know it wasn't me just copying you?

egyptprincess7 Not only that but Merida admitted to her mistakes toward the end of the movie and realized that her mother WAS and IS there for her. She was able to develop as the movie went on. Not only that but she and her mother had a miscommunication. They both wanted each other to LISTEN. Merida should have been clear when she asked the witch for a potion to change her mom.

Silverrose1991 While I love Merida, she is certainly not selfless. She doesn't want to take any responsabilities and should be more grateful for the freedom she has: if she was of lower birth (servant, peasant, etc) she would have even less. But overall I agree: Merida is amazing!

purplerose17 @silverrose1991 I agree that at first Merida was a little selfish for wanting for freedom but as the movie went on she realized the effects of her actions and learned not to take things for granted.

Narrator: Hellas life had been miserable ever since then. She had to clean Stellas(and the stepsisters) clothes, feed them, and some other chores. Hella never went 2 school, learned anything but serve the stepmom and stepsisters(who have no life), atau made any human friends. Kingdom's End - Part One

Author's Note: The basic plot of this story is that all the princesses live in kingdoms surrounding each other, and all the villains band together to start a man-made sort of apocalypse that the princesses and some of the princes/sidekicks have to band together to save their kingdoms. Sort of a twisted fairytale sort of thing, but a bit lebih light. It's complicated.

Not too many people diserahkan why they cinta Maleficent so I apologize for this short article

I cinta how she's so evil she doesn't hesitate to curse a baby just because she wasn't invited to a party. She's even so petty and evil that when it looks like she might win she creates a dinding of thorns and becomes a dragon just so Aurora won't wake up -BB2010

Her character desain is great, Eleanor Audley is perfect for the role, she is intimidating yet elegant and has some pretty cool powers (including being able to turn into a dragon). -LMH5113

Her voice is PURE evil! -deedragongirl
