Any official confirmation to when did Desmond and Penny die?

"Everybody dies sometime. Some before you...Some long after you."
-Christian to Jack in "The End" when Jack asked if all the people present in the church are dead.

Des & Penny were there.

But Penny never set foot on the island, and I think it was quite clear that Desmond didn't die there either but was sent halaman awal to his family. And if Flash Sideways indeed is a world the main characters created to find each other again after their deaths, Des & Penny being young in that world doesn't necessarely mean that they died young. Especially as according to Christian "there is no 'now'" in that world.

So...Is there any official confirmation on WHEN did Desmond and Penny die?

Mainly I wish to know if they lived to see Charlie grow up? :D

I think that with any character whose death wasn't actually shown, anda can assume that they live for decades more. They only appear the age they are because the Island was so important that they had to revert back to that age to remember it all (and obviously in reality to keep the actors without needing to age them). The flash sideways were sort of wish-fulfilment alternate realities.

Thanks for the reply. So I guess the creators never stated anything official, orcmaybe this club just doesn't get much attention anymore. Anyway, thanks for giving at least a speculative reply. :)

I've just rewatched the series and I can konfirmasi that Desmond does survive. It's implied earlier on in the final episode that he might have died, but later we see that he is OK. It's also implied that Hurley will help him leave the island and return to Penny, though we don't see this happen.
