Or Cordelia. I hated the way they ruined Cordie. I loved Lilah, and I started off hating her, but she just got so interesting. I wouldn't want to see Darla come back because her death was so heart-breaking and perfect. I loved Fred and all, but Illyria is just too cool, so if has to be one or the other, I would choose Illyria.

Cordelia or Fred. I think it would be cool if they could somehow split Fred from Illyria and keep both since I love both. But mostly Cordelia since I hated what they did to her character in season four.

Joss Whedon originally intended for Fred and Illyria to be split in two had Angel gotten a sixth season, as revealed by Amy Acker in an interview: "As I’m playing this new character now, it was just some stuff that he was going to do with her and bringing Fred back and getting to work with both characters." [1]

I got that from Wikipedia. And seeing that makes me wish now more than ever we could have gotten a six season of Angel on tv.

DB also said the thing he would regret most about there not being a sixth season was that the rivalry/friendship between Angel and Spike couldn't be evolved more.

Well, knowing what I know (Fred info), I'm hoping for some Cordy action

I intensely dislike Cordy and would not want to see her "permanently" reserructed. Fred, Lilah, or Doyle would be my top choices.

I didn't like what they did with Cordy. I understand that characters need to evolve and grow.

I stopped watching angel in the middle of season 2. And when I picked it back up again at the end of season 3, all I could react was "WTF". She was so out of character for me.

I LOVED Fred in season 5. I cried in all Wes/Fred death scenes. I would love to see Fred back, even as a ghost.

Since they could never do it in the show (Poor Glenn Quinn!) it would be interesting if they did in the comics.

I like Fred, too, but I feel a bit betrayed that they (kinda) brought her back, considering they said that her soul had been destroyed. It's not whole and happy like everyone else's soul, that's why they couldn't resurrect it in Angel the Series... am I right... am I right? Or am I missing something?

Anyways, the thought of that really gutted me... It was like, death was finally absolute for once in the Buffyverse and that was a big revelation to me. Because in real life, death IS of course absolute. It was just jarring. Generally, when someone dies in Angel or Buffy, there's always a possibility that they could come back someway... but not Fred.

Which is why I will feel betrayed that they kinda brought Fred back.

Me It's A Tie Between Cordy & Fred Because I Want Angel To Have What He Never Had With Cordy And As Far As Fred Wesley And Her Just Got Together That Was SO Unfair

It would have to be between fred and doyle for me. They definitely took doyle way too soon in the storyline, I loved his irish-lil-self. Fred, she was one of my faves - soft spoken, sweet and a total survival gal when she needed to be. I'd have loved to see her back in regular action.
