Eva Longoria set to gabung 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine'

Eva Longoria will join the cast from the award-winning comedy series in a three-episode arc opposite Andy Samberg, reports The Wrap.

The "Desperate Housewives" star is set to play a defense attorney named Sophia who battles Detective Jake Peralta, played by Samberg, in court.

Their legal encounter leaves an impression on Peralta and very well will lead to something more.

While further details of Longoria\'s role have not been revealed, she may put a wedge between the blossoming affection between Peralta and Detective Amy Santiago, played by Melissa Fumero. At the end of season 1, Peralta confessed his feelings for Santiago, leaving fans on a cliffhanger.

Regardless of what trouble Longoria\'s character may or may not cause, fans can anticipate seeing her in action when the season 2 premiere kicks off on Sunday, Sept. 28.

The "Devious Maids" executive producer isn\'t the only celeb guest viewers can look forward to seeing.

Kyra Sedgwick ("The Closer") will appear in a couple episodes as a rival to Andre Braugher\'s character, Capt. Ray Holt. Former NFL star Terrell Owens and actress Jenny Slate will also make appearances.
