Chapter 4: Side Of A Bullet
Nicole had just woken up, and was still half asleep. Her body was cramped up from her sleeping position. Her arms were thrown above her head and her head was turned to the crook of her neck. Nicole rolled her sore body toward her small metal dresser and flung her arms behind her messy head. Nicole made an attempt to roll herself off her bunk, but froze when she heard distant footsteps outside her door.
"Get up!"
Baird kicked in the door to her room, which caught Nicole off guard. She let out a small yelp and tumbled off her bed.
"Mornin', Sunshine! Ready to get your gear?"
The raven-haired woman ambled up off the hard floor and arched her back, as Baird took notice.
"No, come back in a few hours."
Baird chuckled at this remark and stood akimbo as she threw her blanket back to the bunk.
"Let's move. Get dressed."
She rolled her eyes and made her way to the dresser and pulled out the puncak, atas drawer. Nicole whipped her midnight tresses over her shoulder and stared at her straw haired counterpart.
"Do anda mind?"
He shook his head and shrugged; arms crossed. "No, not at all."
His cocky remark earned him a glare.
He put up his hands in defeat.
"Alright, alright. Hurry it up."
Nicole had dressed herself in her clothes she was found in, her torn tube puncak, atas and oversized cargo pants with her boots.
"Alright, Nicole! Now anda look like a regular around this place. But a little less grungy..."
He looked her up and down. His large blue orbs scanned her body.
"Let's fix that." He placed his large mitt of a hand on her head and ruffled it violently. Her usually smooth hair was frizzy and strewn about her shoulders.
"Thanks..." Nicole snarled and attempted to pat her hair back to normal.
He grinned. "Imma take anda to the armory first. Get anda some old fashioned insurance."
She nodded and continued walking, brushing past a few soldiers.
"Mornin', Damon. What can I do anda for?"
A small booth stood out of a dinding with a mustached man at the counter; walls behind him filled with arms.
Baird drummed his flat fingers on te counter. "Gimme the standard issue. Don't skimp on the glowy lights on the armor either, those are cool."
The man nodded and disappeared for a moment.
"Hey Baird! Whatcha doin' back here, buddy?! anda with your lady friend?! HA!"
Damon shook his head and looked down the corridor to find his best friend, Cole, bounding toward him.
"Mornin', miss." He nodded toward her and continued to talk with Baird.
The mustache man returned with a large gun with a chainsaw bayonet.
"Lancer..." He narrated.
"Gnasher..." He put down a shotgun.
"Frag grenades and a Snub Pistol. Plus armor."
Nicole picked up the armor suit, her arms almost failing at the sheer weight of the protective gear.
"Too heavy?" Baird sneered cockily with a wink. "It's just fine.., Sir."
She berkata sternly.
"Put it on then, baby!" Cole berkata enthusiastically.
Just then, the loud speaker fuzzed overhead.
"All COG members need to laporan to the deck. Lambent-"
The speaker died out with a screech.
"You'd better get that shit on. Now."
Baird pointed to her equipment.
The deck of Sovereign had been bombarded with belalang troops, a large hijacked ship was beside them.
Nicole had put on her armor and had each of her weapons put away in separate magnetic plates on her armor. Nicole, Baird and Cole came bounding up the stairs from the hull.
"Go!" Baird cried as he have Nicole a push. She reluctantly sprinted forward, not sure where to go, just moving out of the way. "C'mon!"
Baird yelled and grabbed her oleh the arm. Their armor clanked loudly as they ran to find cover. Cole, on the other hand, had found a large metal peti kayu, peti and hid inside, shooting the belalang enemies from the aman, brankas sides.
Baird kneeled behind a stack of tires and yanked Nicole harshly oleh her arm.
She peered over the puncak, atas of the large tires and found large glowing vine-like structures had sprung up beside the ship.
"Baird! What the fuck are those?!"
Nicole cried shrilly and gripped her lancer.
"Lambent Stalks." He paused and put his Longshot Sniper senapan atop the tires, sniping a Lambent Drone off the edge of the ship.
"Shoot any that are on the ship, and any pods on the stalks."
Nicole nodded wearily and raised her rifle, aimed at a glowing creature, and pulled the trigger.
The recoil was almost enough to knock her shoulder out of place.
"Ow...shit." Nicole clutched her right shoulder and bent back down to her spot.
"You alright?"
Baird inquired; his big azure eyes looking back down at her. Nicole nodded and placed a hand on the ground to secure her stability. The ship suddenly rocked violently to the right, Nicole attempted to grab ahold of the deck as she slid away from Baird.
"Nicole!!!" He attempted to grasp her forearm, but she slipped away.
"NICOLE!!!"

Para todos aquellos que hablen español o lo entiendan, aquí les dejo un poema que escribi hace mucho tiempo ya
Nunca había visto caer la lluvia así
Sólo cae
Mientras tú vuelves a casa
La lluvia cae
Pasaron tres horas sin tu regreso
Aún te espero en la puerta
No busco la lluvia
Espero tu vuelta
Pasaron quince años
Te sigo esperando afuera
Aun contengo tu sonrisa
Esperando que llueva
Pero ahora es muy tarde
La lluvia ha cesado
Y aun espero tu llegada
Sigo esperando tu mirada
Nunca había visto caer la lluvia así
Sólo cae
Mientras tú vuelves a casa
La lluvia cae
Pasaron tres horas sin tu regreso
Aún te espero en la puerta
No busco la lluvia
Espero tu vuelta
Pasaron quince años
Te sigo esperando afuera
Aun contengo tu sonrisa
Esperando que llueva
Pero ahora es muy tarde
La lluvia ha cesado
Y aun espero tu llegada
Sigo esperando tu mirada

Sometimes its Easier to inore the truth
to forget about everything
to sit in a closet and hide forever
Sometimes its Easier, to blame yourself
To think its your falt
To tampil no emotion
Sometimes It's easier to keep everything inside
to not let anyone know
to hide everything.
To me, Its easier to say something
To talk
to cry
Its easier to Feel Emotions
Anger, rage, Sadness,
but not fear
Fear is my enemey
He wants to take over my mind
Keep me locked up inside.
I'm tired of being scared
I'm tired of being locked in my own world
I'm tired of being a prisoner.
I will not be afraid,
I will not Let him Win
