It’s raining. Not like a hard rain atau anything. Parker makes his way downy the highway with determination and a degree of speed that might not be exactly legal. But he isn’t going alarmingly fast. He maneuvers his car–a rather stylish Dodge Viper–into the fast lane. It isn’t the latest model but he has it painted a sleek purple some shade in between light and dark. After successfully making his pass he get back into the right lane. He’s behind a Chrysler Pacifica with a collect of bumper and window stickers.
From this he deduces that the driver is probably a sepakbola mom atau an unfortunate son who is stuck using the car. He knows that the dad is still in the picture, helping to raise three kids–a teen boy, a young girl, and a baby girl. They have a dog. Based on the bumper sticker in the left hand corner it’s a shih tzu. He likes shih tzus well enough, but prefers bigger dogs--maybe a pit atau a huskie.
Parker turns the volume up. Lil Peep's U berkata plays nearly at full blast. He knows that he's probably annoying other drivers with the overload of bass. But he can't help it, other than the rain, its a nice day. The warmth and the gloom almost matches the mood of the song. He rolls the window down. He's about to take the volume up another level but he doesn't quite get that far.
He reads the bumper sticker as he pumps his breaks; 'if anda can read this, you're too close.'
The musik seems to blare louder, lebih vividly.
'If anda can read this, you're too close.'
He tries pumping the breaks again but they won't engage. The luar angkasa between his ular berbisa, viper and the Pacifica closes.
'If anda can read this you're too close.'
"Motherfuck! I know." He yells. He remembers the emergency break a little too late.
He catches a glimpse of the bumper sticker once lebih before his fender comes to meet it.
'If anda can read this, you're too close.'
He can read it alright. He can read it very clearly.

Water
My only escape
Where for once my arms that are too pale and scrawny bend perfectly
Where I feel perfect
This is where my spirit will stay
When my body turns grey and dies away
Water
Where my legs that are too chubby atau fat kick so strong
I feel perfect
This is the place my spirit will stay
When my body turns grey and dies away
Water
Where pain only makes me only go faster
Better
Prettier
Perfectly
Water
Where my face that's not pretty in never seen
Hidden in waves that make me feel free
This is the place my spirit will stay
When my body turns grey and dies away
Water
When I used to stab myself with needles
And let the blood bleed out
Suddenly is the last thing on my mind
And when I do spill blood
It's only on the days my mom says I can't go
To the water
Where my spirit will stay
When my body grows old and dies away
My only escape
Where for once my arms that are too pale and scrawny bend perfectly
Where I feel perfect
This is where my spirit will stay
When my body turns grey and dies away
Water

When my body grows old and dies away
I sit and wonder…
Whatever happened to the days?
Watching BSG and lost with Charles,
Playing bintang Wars with him,
And Shortys?
Whatever happened to the days?
Of Josh helping me through the grief of my father’s death.
Whatever happened to the days?
Of chicken and egg salad sandwiches at the SUB and take-out Chinese for dinner?
Whatever happened to the days?
Of GIRLS NIGHT OUT!
Whatever happened to the days?
Of spring at KU?
Whatever happened to the days?
Of KU’s waterfall and walks at midnight…
Whatever happened to the days?
Of all my friends at KU, and what great friends they were.

I needed more, more! I threw the book across the dimly lit, wooden attic. The book hit a stack of old newspapers. I tore open yet another book. Nothing would give me my answers.
Why did I feel the need to care for Lucy? Why could I not get Alexander out of my head?
There were pages, and pages of the thought process, but nothing to explain what I felt! Why could no one manage to capture these feelings, and explain them?
A knock on the door interrupted me. “What?” I snapped.
“It is past midnight, Damien. Come to bed,” berkata Grey through the door.
“I’ll come when I want to. Now, go away!” Could she not understand I was confused, and angry? She possessed such naivety.
“Fine!” Grey yelled. I heard her storm down the steps. Then I heard her bedroom door slam. I let out a puff of air.
Then I threw another book against the wall. I kicked the whole stack of books, and watched as they toppled over. I threw myself onto the floor, and began crying.
