Chapter 1
A Tragic Loss

“Bye dad! Bye Jen!”
“You’re not going anywhere mister!” The person yelling was Jennifer Watson, A very kind person. But unfortunately she was also lebih than a little vain. Jennifer’s idea of a good time was dependant on how many parties she could visit before being dragged back home. She also happens to be my sister. Well I say sister; she’s actually my adoptive sister. I was adopted when I was 5 years old after my parents died in a ski accident. “If I have to clean this place up, then anda are too!”
“But there’s not much left and anda have everything just about wrapped up,” I objected noisily.
“That doesn’t matter; anda are staying here until everything is done. anda got that?”
“Yes ma’am” I berkata wearily. My name is Murdock Holmes. Not the most fitting name, but my dad lost a bet. After my parents died, everything they owned was taken away to cover some debts they owed; leaving me with nothing but the knowledge not to ever go ski in the spring. That’s the only reason I kept my ill fitting name; it’s the only thing I have left to remember them by.
“Well?” she said, staring at me.
“Well what?” I responded with a similar stare.
Her eyebrow began to twitch; a sure sign that if I didn’t rephrase my answer in the selanjutnya 3 seconds, she’ll be cleaning me off the floor when mom gets back. Unfortunately for me, I’m not the brightest bulb in the box.
One,
Two,
Three,
“GET OFF YOUR LAZY pantat, keledai AND HELP ME atau I SWEAR TO GOD, THEY WILL NOT FIND YOUR CORPSE!”
“Right on schedule.”
“What the hell are anda blabbering about?” she said, obviously still a little steamed.
“Nothing at all,” I said, deciding not to push my luck any farther. Ten menit later, the room was clean and I was once again on my way out when I was stopped.
“Hey, son!”
“What is it, dad?” Mark Watson is a former U.S navy segel and is currently unemployed. He is a major shopaholic, but due to him being a compulsive prankster; he is currently banned from most of the stores in a ten mile radius.
“Could anda go to SuperSales and pick up one of those precooked chickens?” he asked.
I sighed. “Fine, I’ll go get one before I come home. Okay?”
“Speaking of which; where are anda going anyway?” Asked Jennifer with raised eyebrows. “You berkata last night that anda didn’t have anywhere to go all hari and anda were going to spend the hari putting in applications.”
“I’m just going to be out for a few minutes,” I said, having completely forgotten about putting in applications. “And I’ll pick an application up from SuperSales while I’m gone okay.” I made a beeline for the door and was soon outside and heading left towards Main Street.

Jonathan Campbell, the current chief of the local law enforcements homicide division, was relaxing in his office when there was a knock on the door.
“Sir, are anda busy?” The woman speaking was Campbell’s lieutenant, Marilyn White.
“What is it, White?”
“Well Sir. We received a call about twenty menit yang lalu from a local supermarket. They berkata that they had been robbed and that one of their employees was murdered trying to stop it.”
“You don’t sound very convinced,” Campbell responded without opening his eyes.
“There is no body. Sir.”
“So what makes them think that someone was murdered?”
“They say that they heard a gunshot and then they heard the employee in question; a Mr. Harold Morgan, scream,” She responded quickly.
Jonathan looked at his lieutenant; a woman whose judgment he trusts explicitly, with interest. “Did anda send anyone to investigate?”
“No Sir. I thought I should inform anda first.”
“So what do anda think we should do?”
“Well Sir. Most of our officers are already working on the murder of that local dignitary; so I don’t think we should waste too much time on a murder that might not have happened.”
“True. But we do have to investigate.” Campbell said. He turned around and thought for a moment. “Aha! Didn’t we get a transfer a few weeks ago? anda remember, the vice guy.”
Ms. White flashed a small grin. “Yes we did. Do anda want me to send him?”
“Yes, also send around six officers to help out,” he replied.

It was around 2:30 when I stopped to take a break beside the large water air mancur located at the center of town. SuperSales couldn’t really be called a store as it’s only open five hours a day. The store opened at three and closed at eight. So that means I had 30 menit to kill before picking up dad’s chicken. I frowned and set off towards SuperSales; figuring that I would either find something to do on the way there, atau I would just get there a few menit early. As I approached the jalan, street that SuperSales was on, I heard a commotion from the store. Sure enough the moment I turned I found myself face to face with a dinding of police tape. One of the cops turned around in time to see me bebek underneath the tape.

Sean Nelson was busy taking notes of what he saw at the crime scene when he heard footsteps. Wondering what it was, he turned around just in time to see a very familiar face ducking underneath the tape.
“Murdock!”
The sneaky 15 tahun old froze and looked up with a grin. “Why hello there Mr. Nelson; it’s nice to see you. How are you,” Murdock berkata hastily.
“Well, I was fine until someone decided to break the rules and waltz straight into a crime scene,” Sean said.
“Wow. That guy must be a real idiot.”
“Yes, anda are.”
“But I didn’t waltz in; I distinctly remember ducking.”
Sean sighed. “What are anda doing here Murdock?” Murdock put on an indignant face. “For your information, I was here to buy a chicken for makan malam tonight!”
Sean laughed. “So your dad’s still a shopaholic huh?”
Murdock couldn’t help but grin too. “Ya, he still does that.”
Sean’s mood lifted slightly. “Well I’m sorry, but you’ll have to go somewhere else and get it,” he berkata with an apologetic smile.
“What happened here?” Murdock asked.
“The employee’s claim that their coworker was murdered here,” he berkata with a disbelieving glance at the workers who were standing just inside the store.
Murdock eyebrows rose. “Claim? anda don’t believe them?”
“Look at it this way; there is no body, no blood, no murder weapon, and no witnesses except the phantom gunshot that the workers heard and even then, there’s nothing on the cameras to tampil that anyone was hurt.”
“It does seem a little hard to believe,” Murdock admitted.
“It’s lebih than that, it’s impossible.” Sean said.
“Something still feels weird though, but I can’t place my finger on it.” Murdock muttered thoughtfully.
Sean chuckled. “Maybe anda should go get that chicken and think it over during dinner?”
Murdock laughed. “Ya I think I will. See anda later Mr. Nelson.”
“That’s Officer Nelson to you!” He shouted after Murdock.
5 menit later, Murdock was back at the water fountain. He looked around at the various shops; trying to figure out which one to go to. Murdock sighed. “Well, it’ll have to be one that’s hiring atau Jennifer will kick my ass,” he said, walking towards one of the shops with the help wanted sign posted. As he passed oleh the water fountain, Murdock failed to notice that someone was running towards him at full speed.
“Get out of the way!”
Murdock started to turn around when something slammed into him. Murdock was knocked backwards into the fountain, hitting his head on the figurehead on the way down. Murdock was dazed so he couldn’t get his head above water. ‘I swear to god; if I die oleh drowning in a water fountain, I will haunt whoever hit me!’ Murdock thought as his consciousness faded.

That's that. Any reviews are welcome...don't be too mean on the reviews tho....BTW what do anda think of the name? Tenchu means Divine retribution in japanese.

How are the winners determined from the losers? Easy. Whoever gave in first.

And if no one gives in?

Giving in is often easier. But not the desirable choice.

Taylor tapped the glass coated floor. The tiny black droplet that bloomed on her forefinger fell with a soft plink on a segi tiga, segitiga of glass below.

Taylor cautiously lifted the shard to the light. There it was. A small stain, barely the size of a pinhead, darkening the glass.

That's all I am. Just a flaw on an otherwise clear surface.

Just a flaw. A mistake that was never meant to be.

"I'm leaving," Taylor muttered to herself, getting back to her feet. She strode towards the corner, vanishing just as soon as the shadow fell over to embrace her slight form.

She closed her eyes and felt the end of her plait, fumbling with it until wove free.

She knew where she was going, if only this once.

But when she got there? She hadn't thought that far.

Chapter One
Underground

"Get back up to South Sector now!" A man's gruff voice boomed from the walkie-talkies clipped to the belts of the grey and zaitun green camouflage uniforms of the handful of guards. The harsh command reverberated in the deathly silent area as an individual stealthily crept through the heap of lifeless corpses which gazed emptily at him as he reached for one guard's static walkie-talkie. Sighing heavily in exhaustion from the fight he had to put up, he kicked at...

Chapter [#2]

Narrators POV

An old man in a jubah walked into the neighborhood in which Olivia lived. Everyone stared at him as he walked around.

Olivia's POV

I smiled brightly as I dived into the ocean, "wait up!!!" Oliver laughed as my five brothers ran after me with surfboards, buggy boards, buckets for picking up sea shells, and dad brought out our special maid sandcastle buckets. They were big and made the best structures ever!!! Plus our family is known for our sand castles/structures. I smiled and dived down, feeling the salty cold water against my skin, it's the best feeling ever. When...

It’s raining. Not like a hard rain atau anything. Parker makes his way downy the highway with determination and a degree of speed that might not be exactly legal. But he isn’t going alarmingly fast. He maneuvers his car–a rather stylish Dodge Viper–into the fast lane. It isn’t the latest model but he has it painted a sleek purple some shade in between light and dark. After successfully making his pass he get back into the right lane. He’s behind a Chrysler Pacifica with a collect of bumper and window stickers.

From this he deduces that the driver is probably a sepakbola mom atau an unfortunate...

Together, at last,
We sing in unison,
As the eagles zoom past us,
Symbolizing true freedom now.

We are together,
Not just our country,
But all the countries of the universe,
Syria, China, Germany,
Russia, Canada, Brazil,
And, of course, the United States.

I have never experienced
Such an amazing feeling
In my whole life,
As the soldiers of the universe
March past,
We are in utmost glory.

The unity of the universe,
We behold right now.
Never again, we shall quarrel,
Fighting with our steel rifles.

We will be free,
Not just blacks,
But all of us,
Together, at last.

We will be equal,
Women and...

That whole time, I had forgot about my powers. Everything. Like I was a regular person. But that scream, it was of help. What was I gonna do? I couldn't. It would hurt him. I couldn't use my powers. But I had to. I ran out of the cave. I looked around. It started to rain. I didn't do that. I couldn't change it. If I couldn't change the weather, What would I do if I couldn't control things? I saw it. A giant monster. It threw Bruno out of it's hands and onto the rough, muddy ground. "Bruno!" I screamed. I ran over to him. He was injured with a gash in his forhead and was bleeding from the back...

As McKenna and I board the bus, we sit selanjutnya to each other in the front. "Hey, I've heard of this song!" I komentar on the song that's playing in the background. "...Sippin sizzurp in my ride, like Three 6, Now I'm feelin so fly like a G6..." "Yeah...sure...whatever..." McKenna responds to me with her eyes locked on her yellow and black cell phone. "What's up?" I ask. "Nothing!" She shuts her cell phone like she's hiding emas from a bank. My cell phone ring-tone sounds. "I can't stop my feet from dancin' to the sound of his drum.
