A thought that I had has been irking me. What do u think?

I'm menulis thus story that takes place in the 60s an is about greasers an rich kids and their rivalry (it's also a cinta story). And I've told ppl bout it on this spot multiple times. U wanna know whats kinda annoying?? Some ppl r saying stuff like "is this based off the outsiders?" atau "hey this sounds like the outsiders!" and im just thinkin "hey can't I write a story about social class rivalries and greasers too?! Hinton is not the only one who is allowed to!"

I don't want ppl thinkin I mencuri the outsiders.

But I don't think it's very fair to me that ppl r askin if my story is based off that book. Do u think its fair? I mean, Hinton owns the outsiders but she duznt own the idea of menulis about social class rivalries and greasers. So I'm allowed to write bout it too. Am I rite?

You're definitely allowed to write about whatever anda want. But unless people all-out accuse anda of plagiarism, don't take offense. They're probably just curious because your story is similar to The Outsiders. And anda really like The Outsiders, right? Isn't it partially what inspired anda to write your story?

Yeah that's exactly what inspired me. I'm just getting a little apprehensive cuz what finish it and send it to a publisher but they say they won't publikasi it cuz its too much like that book?

Well, in the planning stage, anda need to make sure that your book is different... that the characters are different, the setting, the plot, the themes and symbols, etc. Make it your own book. Inspired oleh The Outsiders but not The Outsiders; your own.

Yes, anda should be allowed to write about that, as long as it doesn't seem exactly the same as the Outsiders. Greasers and Socials were real, so it should be an open subject matter.

Actually I don't call them Socials in my book, but I do mention that they originate from Tulsa. Idk I that makes any sense :P

Thats true. That's pretty much how I learned to write a book in the first place: books. I didn't learn from my teachers, I learned from buku
