I think they are both the main characters, because although Bella tells the story, whenever you hear Bella's name you immediatly think of Edward, so he's a main character too.

Bella is the main character. I think she is because it is in her POV. Plus, Edward is barely in New Moon. What kind of book doesn't have the main character in it for that long? So, Bella is definitely the main character of the Twilight Saga.
