Three weeks later, the competition was reaching its end. It was down to the final three and I was lucky that I even made it this far. And I can't help but say this, but I'm starting to fall for Duncan. I mean, he's rebellious, he's annoying, and he's so vile, but I can't help but fall for him.

The final three was me, Duncan and Heather. And for Heather, I wasn't really surprised. She's such an ass, and she's a competitive bitch. It annoys me that she made it this far, when everybody hated her guts. But Duncan and I were out to make sure she never won.

It was such a breather without Rikki there to annoy us. I can't beleive she went ahead and tried to kill Duncan. I went out of my way to get revenge on her, but I was also scared of her, because she could'veseriously injured me, too.


That morning in the mess hall, I sat down selanjutnya to Duncan, but not close enough for him to put his arm around me atau anything. Heather got her food, and looked at us curiously and suspiciously, and walked to sit oleh us.

I swallowed a spoonful of my food, and looked at Duncan, he looked at me, and we leaned in for a kiss. When...Heather sat across the meja from us.

"Hey, guys!" she said.

We stopped and looked at her. "What?"

"So..." She ate a spoonful of her pasty oatmeal. "How are anda two?"

"We're not together." I said, blushing.

"Hmmm...Doesn't look that way." She smirked.

"Go away." Duncan said, carving lines into the table.

"Make me." Heather smirked.

Then, Duncan sighed, and got up, and walked out. I looked at Heather, and walked out too.

Once I was outside, I looked around. "Duncan?" I called out. I walked around on the pantai and in the woods, looking for him. "Duncan!?" I called agian. No answer. No noise. All I heard was the echo of my voice and birds chirping.

Then, I heard soft music. It sounded like an acoustic guitar, but wherever it was, it was far off.

I wandered around for a while, following the music. Then, I heard the most angelic voice I've ever heard. Someone was singing. I leaned on a pohon and tried to make out what the voice was singing.

I've never heard anything like it. I walked closer, slinking along trees, listening to the magical voice. I finally stopped, and peered around a tree, and gasped quietly. Duncan was sitting on the edge of the dock, strumming an acoustic guitar, bernyanyi to Joe Jonas's hit I Gotta Find You. I walked closer, carefully tiptoeing on the dock behind him, and amazingly, I didn't make a sound.

Then, I decided to gabung Duncan. I heard him inhale and prepare to sing, but I cut him off.

He didn't turn around. I knew he knew that it was me singing, because a smile played across his lips and he sang with me.

Then he stopped playing. He set his gitar down and stood up to face me. I looked at him.

"Why did anda follow me?" He asked.

"Because anda left me." I berkata sweetly and softly.

He sighed and looked down.

I got closer to him and comforted him. "I'm sorry." A tear started falling down my cheek.

He looked at me. "For what?"

"For bringing Rikki here."

"It's not your fault." Tears formed in his blue eyes. "It's Courtney's."

"No. No, don't get mad at her, it's [i]my fault I'm even friends with Rik, and-" He pulled me into a hug. I got really emotional and started crying. After about a minute, I pulled away and wiped my eyes.

"I like you." He confessed, but I already kinda knew that. "A lot. But I don't know if I should belong with anda atau Courtney."

I looked into his eyess. "Follow your heart, and you'll find the right path." Then I walked off the dock into the cabin. Duncan watched me, and thought to himself.
