“Yes, thank you. I understand,” she picked nervously her sleeve, “Mhmm. Goodbye.”

Pressing the end button, she dropped the phone back into the buaian, cradle and stared blankly at the meja tulis, meja in front of her, twisting her mouth sideways in thought.

Linking her fingers through his, she took a deep breath before the closed door. Even now, it still seemed so surreal sometimes; surreal that they had finally made it to this point in their lives; surreal that after so many years of abject denial, the feelings they had harbored secretly were now blatant truths, affirmed and mutual. She glanced over at her partner only to find him already gazing at her, his green eyes a mixture of nerves, affection, and happiness.

Tony bid the team and the bullpen a farewell as he waltzed out of the office with a suitcase trailing behind him. He had a week-long vacation and he was going to use it to his full advantage. When the team had asked where he was going he had berkata Los Angeles, which wasn’t exactly a lie, he would be landing in LA, but then he’d make the drive up to Big beruang and spend the week there with someone he couldn’t wait to see.
