I didnt want any of them die I cryed at that part and had a bad dream. true story!

I didn't want them to die but it just wouldn't be the same if Jack didn't die. Think about it. Jack was a poor person who had gone through more rejection and hurt than anyone in this world. Yet he was still happy and in the end he sacrafices himself for the one he loves. How more romantic could it get.

I cried SO HARD when Jack died!! He was so close to being rescued!!!!!!! it makes for a good story if one of them dies, though, but i like to look at it as an actual life in which i feel very sorry for rose for loosing her true love.

Jack shouldn't have died in the end :'(. I think he & Rose should have lived happily ever after :).

They both couldn't have died because then who would have come back to tell Mr. Lovett that the picture was of Rose? If Rose died then Jack could have said he drew that picture. The both couldn't have died. And they both couldn't have lived because then it wouldn't have been a secret that she'd kept all those years. It wouldn't make sense to the story, guys.

Jack dying was basically the main part of the story. Yes the titanic, but if he had not died, Rose's titanic story would have not been this incrediable story about love. It just would have been about a sinking ship and a bitchy mother.

I wish Jack had lived but I think his death adds to the story. If he had lived the tragedy of the Titanic sinking wouldn't have come through to the viewers. All those other people dying wouldn't matter as much because Rose and Jack still have each other.

Jack is amazing and he wasprotecting Rose but I think thy should of dies together like the two old couple died together. They was sooo sweet. but sad.

Even though I was so sad when Jack died one of them had to die or else the movie wouldn't be so great.
Them both dieing wouldn't be a terrible idea but I like the movie the way it is.
And @Drumplayer The movie Titanic is not a true story. Rose and Jack are not real people. Yes there was a Titanic and yes it did sink. But Someone just thought about making a love story based on the Titanic. Besides a lot of info about the passengers was lost. Even if they were real I doubt they would have enough info to make the whole story of them.

The story is pefect as it is.

NO! NO! NO! how can u all say that jack should have died? He is the best character in the freaking movie! O my gosh! I cried scratch that I balled my eyes out when he died! What kind of girl throws her boyfriend in a big lake? I was waiting for her hand to freeze to his and get stuck so when she tried to let go...she would go with him. I miss jack:(
