well if there is no elena and caroline will be reminded of her mom there and tyler isnt going to be a regular anymore and there is no real need for matt and bonnie has bad memories of her dad dying there seems like they all could use a fresh canvas and new start someplace and then just maybe they can idk keep the show going fora few more seasons.
