I don't know who Matt is but the guy in the picture is her brother, Jeremy.

I think she is much stronger when she is with Damon but I think that she actually really loves Stefan and cares for Damon. With Damon he would protect her no matter what so I think she is ok with Damon. But coz Stefan and Elena are meant to be I think he would go with her better. Anyway I believe Stefan and Elena's love is true whereas Damon and Elena is lust. Damon loves her and everything but from my opinion I think he is more obsessed. Damon and Elena's realtionship is very intense I know but it just feels right for her to be with Stefan.
Oh and as the comment above mentioned me that the photo you have put with Matt is not Matt in the show. It's Elena's brother, Jeremy. Matt is the blond guy in the trailer. If you have seen the cw version trailer he's the guy who is sitting with Bonnie at the table for like a second in (in the trailer) when Elena walks in with Stefan and everyone turns to look at them. x.

I say Stefan, not because the good guys always get the girl, but because they are so cute together and she doesn't seem like she could handle Damon. And Damon is my favorite character, so of course I don't want him to be with some sad chick who writes in a diary every day...that just doesn't seem like his type, which is exactly why he fell in love with Katherine (the complete opposite of Elena). So yeah, Damon and Elena just aren't meant to be.

Stefan and Elaina have a common ground with eachother. They both care a lot about people! I don't think it would work with Elaina being with Damon because he would keep on killing or trying to kill her friends and that would bother Elaina! Also Damon is self centered and self absorbed! I think all ''Team Damon'' fans have reed the books, 'cuz actually in books I think DAMON is the right one for Elena, and I could get in a really hard discussion about Damon [ that he is bad or smthng]. Isn't it strange that Stefan is still looked on as 'the good brother' when he clearly has dark undercurrents in his personality? I mean, I know Damon has done a lot of bad things, but so has Stefan. Paul Wesley has said that next season, the two brothers will 'switch' for a while and Stefan will be darker and Damon will be nice. I guess I'm just a sucker for bad boys...

I think Elena would be better with Damon. Elena can bring out his humanity and she understands him while most people push him away. Damon tends to bring out Elena's more fun and fiery side, which I like seeing. Plus Elena likes Damon's sarcastic comments and jokes...he makes her smile and laugh. :) I also love how their relationship is building up slowly, Stelena was too quick and rushed for me. Elena needs a bad boy in her life, a daring guy. I seriously think Stefan's brooding is rubbing off on Elena LOL.

In addition to my last comment, I think it's Damon's time to shine and get the girl for once. The good guy always getting the girl gets pretty boring and old. As for Stelena's 'epic love' I definitely don't see it. Just because Stefan is known as the good one doesn't mean he's not capable of the same things Damon has done in the past. I really think that seeing Stefan with Katherine in the past, and now Elena, must kill Damon on the inside. Damon doesn't lie to/hide things from Elena and he doesn't treat her like a fragile doll (unlike Stefan). I really think Damon needs Elena more than Stefan does. Also who could forget the time Stefan was about to kill himself in episode 20? He didn't even stop to think about what it would do to Elena once he died. Meanwhile Damon (in the flashback of that episode) was willing to die FOR Katherine when they came back to life. I think that's a very interesting peek into how much the brothers love. ;)
