Chapter 2: Encounter
It was first period, Science class, within the first few moments of entering the room, I was a goner, as soon as my butt hit my chair, I was fast asleep.
“Riley do anda know the answer to the question? Riley? Mrs. Winchester? Riley! Get up no sleeping in my class!” I heard Mrs. Tatum shout.
“huh?” I lifted my head groggily. Being that I was barely awake and fully aware of anything, I didn’t see a text book come flying at my face so it hit me square in the face, and I fell backwards onto the floor
“ow!”
The classroom bursts into a fit of laughter, I painfully get up and removed the text book from my face.
“glad anda can gabung us Riley, no matter, I will have someone else answer the pertanyaan , get up and don’t fall asleep!”
I saw a hand go up, I looked over as saw Mikey with his hand up. He was a Short freshman, blonde hair, blue eyes.
I didn’t talk to him much, but I was always partners with him.
I boredly opened up my textbook, and put my head on my hand. This is going to be so boring… as usual…
I tuned out most of the class, akting like I was paying attention, so I wouldn’t have to get hit in the face with a text book again. Geez, I am pretty sure that is child abuse, what teacher throws text buku at people?!?! I hate to see her with her own kids.
I heard a girly snicker, I rolled my eyes, ignoring the fake blonde’s stare.
“you know Riley, anda should pay lebih attention, maybe that is impossible for you.”
I smirked, “tch, whatever, I have lebih brains then anda do.”
“that ‘s not true! I pay attention, what did anda get on your Geometry test?”
I leaned back in my chair, with a broad grin on my face. “95.”
Trisa stayed silent, then huffed as she turned back around. He he, I showed her.
After class I was heading out, I was at my locker when I felt someone lightly tap my shoulder. I turned slightly to get a glimpse of this person, it was some unknown kid, I gave them a curious look.
“Uh hey. I’m sorry; I don’t think we met...”
“oh uh I’m Raven, I just transferred her from Romania.” She smiled.
“Oh, A foreign exchange student? Uh I’m Riley, uh welcome.” I muttered turning around completely to look at her better.
She had long brown hair, pale skin that went well with her hair, though what had me dazzled was her honey golden eyes.
She smiled softly as I held out my hand to shake, when she grabbed it a shot of electricity shot through my arm, and I jerked away.
I stared at my hand, what was that about?
She seem to have felt it too, she shook it off and looked at me.
“well I was wondering the halls and I noticed anda at your locker, to tell anda the truth, anda were the most not so intimidating person so far, so can anda tell me where Mr. Higgins class is?”
I looked into her eyes, there was this strange feeling I was sensing, there was something she was hiding behind those honey golden eyes. I shook it off and took a hand through my hair.
“well actually, that’s my selanjutnya class, we can walk together.”
“oh good, that sounds great.”
We walked to class, I kept feeling uneasy, I tried to shake it off.
We entered the class, and ungu and Nikki sat at their seats, giving Raven a strange look, they glared at her.
I scowled and just ignored them and sat down.
After that class I went to my locker, and ungu and Nikki started interrogating me.
“who was that?!” they demanded.
“who?” I asked them as I reached for my notebook.
“that girl anda walked in with!”
“You mean Raven? She's new. She just came in from Romania.” I answered. “why are anda guys akting so weird?”
“we don't like her. There's something weird about her!” Nikki hissed.
“guys what the heck is wrong with anda two? anda guys are judging her.” I muttered.
ungu sighed, and they looked at each other as if communicating to each other through eye contact.
I shook my head. “whatever guys, im off to study hall now.. see anda at lunch.” I closed my locker after grabbing my sketching supplies.
I walked away, I could feel them giving me a sympathetic stare as I walked.
they are akting really weird..... it's not like them to judge someone like that. Are they? No they can't be jealous, their not the jealous type.. then why? They acted like she was a threat to me..
I sighed, “I will never understand them completely...”
-meanwhile Raven's POV-
“How is she?” the man, known to me as my master, Alec asked.
“she doesn't suspect a thing. Though her friends might be on to me..”
he smirked, “don't worry about them, their practically powerless right now. They follow the rules to well, they can't use any magic in the open, they would never expose their secret not even to her.”
“I figured as such... but why must we wait?” I asked.
“Simple... it's almost time.. soon it will be her 16th birthday, and that night, will be the night of the full moon... That's when her fate will be sealed... as a half blood. Her vampire powers will awaken, and thus the hollowfication process will take place...”
“hm. Very well... can I ask a pertanyaan master?” I asked.
“what is it?” he answered.
“why is she so important to you? She's just a half blood..”
he chuckled, “that might be so... but she's important for this task. She's my daughter after all...”
“hm. Interesting... what's the selanjutnya part of the plan?”
he handed me a chained necklace, with some Latin written on the inside of the ring.
“give this to her. And these...” he muttered also handing me a packet with two crimson colored tablets. “these Tablets will come in handy, they liquify once heated, I want to to inject them into her bloodstream tonight while she sleeps, preferably before the nightmare starts. They wont have an affect on her until the night of the full moon, once exposed to vampire venom.”
I nodded. “so anda plan on biting her yourself?”
“of course. It would only work if she is bitten oleh a family member... my idiotic older brother Alucard would never let her become a vampire... he's grown to soft for those pathetic mortals, espicallly her. He wont be a problem.”
“what about her mother?”
“she shouldn't be a problem, she's still away. I made sure to keep her occupied, and that Dana, no need to worry about her either. If she proves to be a problem, I'll have anda deal with her, as for the boy, he shouldn't be a problem. anda know what to do if he is.”
“yes sir. “
he smirked and began to walk away, “Don't disappoint me...”
I nodded, and stared at the tablets. “I would never... anda can bet Riley Winchester will be there, I swear on my ashes.”
I walked away, and walked to the Cafeteria to find Riley, she entered the room, I had to admit for someone who seemed practically human, she did have a strange quality about her.
It's a shame she had to go trough all this... I wonder... no.... I shook my head, and walked up to her.
“hey Riley, I was looking for you.”
“really?” she asked, her brown eyes filled with confusion.
“yeah I wanted to give this to you.” I hand her the necklace, “in my country, we give gifts to people we consider friends.”
“oh? Uh thanks..” she muttered and put it on. She laughed weakly. “uhm... I feel bad, if I would have known...”
“Don't. It's completely understandable. After all I just got here.”
“if anda say so..” she looked off towards the side thinking.
“it's fine honestly.”
she looked at me and smiled, “good. I guess I owe anda though.”
