“Hey, I’m not dead yet there’s no need to be quiet.” He jokes from his hospital bed.
“But…”
“The only butt I want remember is yours.” He grins.
anda can’t help but smile. He was his usual self.
“You ok?”
“Well, yeah I guess. The only problem is they won’t let me have a fuckin bir once in awhile.”
anda shake your head and laugh.
“Because it’s a hospital, Dip-Wad.”
“Who anda calling Dip-Wad, Dip-Wad? I think bir is the best medicine,” he grins as he leans back further into his pillow. He looks anda in the eye. “Hey, I know I’m gonna go soon. I don’t want anda to see. That would break my heart.” He says quietly. “So give me a kiss, and why don’t anda head on out?”
anda shake your head, eyes watering. “No.” anda whisper.
“Yes.” He says. “Come on, give me a ciuman and go.” He squeezes your hand.
The tears pouring, anda lean over and give him one last long kiss.
“Hey,” he whispers softly, wiping away the tears with his thumb. “I’m going to be fine. You’re going to fine. I cinta you. anda were the best thing that ever happened to me.”
anda let go of his hand.
“Love you.” anda whisper.
And anda walk out the door.
And never look back.
