The Joker is one of the most populer villains in all of fiction. He was already populer in the comics, but his appearances in televisi and films have made him soar to new levels of fame. Cesar Romero was the very first actor to play the Joker. Since then, the Joker has been played oleh Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger, Jared Leto and Joaquin Phoenix, all of whom are Oscar winners.
