In interviews with Gary Ross, he said that they will be adding a few more scenes with Gale in it then there is in the books. For example, when Katniss is in the arena they will flick to District 12 to show Gale watching her.

Honestly... what does Gale have to do with the movie? I would watch the movies even if they removed Gale entirely, he wasn't really that important until Mockingjay anyway and then he was shown to be a really terrible person.

What does it matter that Gale won't feature largely in the movie? He didn't feature largely in the book either. If this movie is a success, they'll make the whole series and Gale will get his fair share of screen time. Besides, the story isn't about him, it's about Katniss.

Whether you like Gale or not, you have to admit he was not important in the first book. Its alright that he doesn't have a big part. There is more than just him to the story.

I'm just glad theres a movie. Seriously, the only thing I care about is that everyone in the book at least makes one appearance.
