biggesthostfan I think the British actress Hannah Taylor Gordon would make the most wonderful Melanie Stryder! Not only is she exactly how I pictured her when I read the book, she’s such a beautiful actress! I really want an actress of weight and substance to play Mel and do her justice...I would be so disappointed if the production company just cast a super well known celebrity who can’t act like Megan Fox to pull in the viewers :( That's why I have so much respect for the casting of Kristen Stewart in Twilight...it’s her incredible talent that have now made her and Twilight a star. kizzalou88 I agree that Melanie has to be played by someone who can act and has a certain fire about her! That was the problem with Kristen stuwart! she fit the part good but cnt act! at first i thought she did fine, but watch her in each scene, shes not very good at all! I love love love twilight, massive fan, love both movies, seen the first one about 80 or 90 times, Kristen cant act. But Hannah gordon doesnt look anything like melanie, she looks like too old, too pale and not pretty enough. so even if she can act it wont be the best outcome!

julianhart I guess it’s different for everyone kizzalou88 :) I really don’t like your choice of Summer Glau at all...she looks like a scrawny chicken and has had a really bad nose job! For me Hannah Taylor Gordon is just the epitome of Melanie! She is clearly not old and is SO obviously stunningly gorgeous in a non slutty way! And to top it off she is a former Emmy and Golden Globe best actress nominee! Now that’s what you call jackpot!!!
