televisi People Keep Leaving Spoilers About Episodes On Episodes That I Have Uploaded...
50 fans picked: |
people shouldn't look at the komentar before they watch the video anyways

yeah i know i saw them and the episode was spoiled for me
|

just message the user and ask them to take them down
|
|||

not everyone is like sualey who went throught hte trouble of uploading old images to the "how i met your mother" spot so the new spoilery ones wouldnt be the featured ones- but thats sualey for ya
it like when s.o points out that content is miscategorized, bad keywords etc..i would change/delete it without doubt and would thank the user for telling me.
but like i said: to watch vids like greys anatomy ( that spot is like youtube...no one gives a shit about any etiquette) i go to sidereel because i had it spoiled too many times! (that was the x kisses y spot, by the way)
it's one thing to accidently put a spoiler on fanpop and then just not check your messages it's another to go out of your way to annoy someone
thankfully last week one user sent me a really nice message saying thanks for the heads up, made my week
the only trouble with sidereel is that people put uplinks to only have of the episode or to really spammy sites with loads of pop ups and such
i normally search fanpop or try and find a direct link myself on dailymotion, tudou, youku ect if i still can't find it then i might go to videolemon or sidereel or something, i wish tv-links was still up there's oads of replacement for it i know but it's not the same as it was
Looking at the question again, I see that it may be even more specific than that - it may be just about situations where people post spoilers about content that I (or anybody answering the question) contributes. Now that I really don't get...if possible, it makes less sense to me than the general case of reading spoilers for somebody's else's link. How could something that I contributed be spoiled for me by someone's reactions to it? Why, why, why would there ever be a situation where I'd link content to Fanpop that I hadn't already viewed myself? It's never gonna happen. I'm horrified at the very idea. Do people do that? WHY??!?!?!??
Sorry if that is obnoxious, but I don't get it. Maybe I misunderstand the question still. I sure hope so! If so, could someone please explain it to me?
the question is about... hang on let me a do a example to make it easier, say i put up a episode where a character dies, i have already viewed the content, obviously
someone else then views it and writes "oh my gosh i can't believe *insert name* died"
the next person that comes to watch the episode even if it just catches their eye will know the ending of the episode and that comment will spoil it for them
does that make sense?
this especially applies to new users or user that just come on to watch video & episodes like i used to
the reason why i posted this question is not because it spoils it for me but because i often see comments from other fans saying it has spoiled it for them
What I try to do when I post videos is that if there's a big event that happens in the episode (someone dies, a couple gets together, whatever) I post the content, then comment on it without a spoiler, so the first comment people see is mine (usually I just write something along the lines of "I love this episode!"). That way even if someone accidentally reads the first comment while they're waiting for the content to load or whatever, nothing is ruined. Generally works for me :)
its funny how everyone keeps mentioning greys..i guess we all unsubscribed :D
but its true its that "first comment problem"
also because the spots contain so much information i dont use fanpop anymore when i start a new show.
i started watching veronica mars for example, which is over but i had never seen it.
first thing i see? a pick about someone having a baby...
so if there are a lot of people on fanpop to view vids ( and then maybe get hooked) the vids section should be seperate!
I understand what Harold was saying, and I agree with him. He was just saying that if someone visits a link/video/pick/whatever it is, the comments they post on it is normally their reaction to what they had just seen. I'm not sure what else they would say in a comment.
Sometimes when I'm waiting for an episode to load I get curious and scroll down and read people's comments, but I know fully well that there will be spoilers in it.
But I guess it wouldn't hurt to write "spoiler" at the top of atleast the 1st comment and then hit the enter button a couple of times so that the 1st comment isn't on the screen while you're watching the video.
