In the Twilight Saga, the shape-shifters are different from the Children of the Moon (the manusia serigala that follow the rules of traditional mythology) in many ways. First of all, the Quileute shape-shifters are a tribe, not necessarily just a lone wolf. Well, it depends. In many tales, they are half man half serigala creatures who turn into serigala under the full moon. Under the Twilight series, they turn into serigala when they want to and when they're mad. Normally, they become manusia serigala because they are bitten, but here it's genetics.
