In the past, I've enjoyed the brother drama. However, I feel as though they've regressed Sam and I don't like that. During Season 5, 6 and 7 he really matured and came into his own. And I feel as though this season, they've taken him backwards- all the way to Season 1- with his 'I just want a normal life' mentality. And I honestly don't like that aspect of his personality. I understand it but I have a hard time sympathizing with it. I want to like Sam and empathize with him but this season I've had issues with him and I don't want to.

It's not that I like all of the drama, I just like that Dean is finally standing his ground and not letting Sam take advantage of him. I worry about Dean forgiving Sam completely because every time he does, Sam breaks his heart. I agree with fanfly inre Sam's character development. I thought we had evolved past the "I don't want this life" perspective.

I wish Dean and Sam were like they were in season 1 when they could fully trust each other. Since Sam chose to trust Ruby over Dean their relationship hasn't been the same :( it was so sad at the start of S5 when Dean said to sam he didn't think they could 'get back to where they were.' :(
