Well, what I've heard some suggest and I think I agree, is that Bobby burned the picture to honor Ellen and Jo as hunters (since usually anda burn their bodies but there weren't any bodies to burn).
But I just found it really annoying because... why TAKE the picture then? He even berkata it was to remember everyone oleh in case something happened. I just thought that was stupid, though it certainly DID make a haunting last shot to the episode.

I am conflicted about that scene-it does bother me too! On the other hand I thought it was pahit sweet the way he burned the picture as a sort of memorial. I liked Ellen and Jo and I will miss them =(
Because they couldn't burn their bodies (the hunters sign of respect/rememberance/memorial), they burned their picture.

that's a good thought..and because in some cultures pictures cupture the souls maybe thats because he did it..like a goodbye and to rest their souls..thanks for answering!
He burned the foto cause they failed. They died so any memory on them had to be purged. It was cruel but he had to do it as warning to future hunters to not fail him.
I think that Bobby burned the foto because in retrospect the memory was too painful. He'd have been used to hunter friends dying, but Jo and Ellen had died in vain since the kuda jantan muda, colt hadn't actually worked.
