Okay, Sonic 06-bad game, Sonic-Drift (1 and 2)-bad, Sonic Free Riders-bad, Shadow the Hedgehog-bad, but in the long run THAT IS IT.
anda could argue about Sonic Labyrinth and Sonic and the Secret Rings, but while those are not enjoyable, and yes Labyrinth is a bad game, those DID what they were meant to do.
When anyone talks about Sonic, they almost always say how “He may have terrible games.” atau “He’s been dead for a while.” atau “They’re only starting to revive him now.” atau even that he’s still dead and shouldn’t be brought back.
WHY DO anda SAY THESE THINGS?! anda want a daftar of all the GOOD Sonic games in the past ten years?! Okay.
Sonic Heroes, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Riders, Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, all the Sonic Advance games, Sonic Rivals, Sonic Rivals 2, Sonic Colors, Sonic Generations, Sonic Adventure Battle (or whatever that one with E-mrl is called), Sonic and the Black Knight, The Sonic Rush games, and The Sonic 4 games.
YES some of these weren’t amazing. YES some of them weren’t even great. But half of them were, and the one’s that weren’t were still good!
I saw a puncak, atas five worst Sonic Games list. I could already tell it was terrible when they didn’t daftar Sonic 06, but not only did they have Sonic: The Fighters on it, but Sonic R was the number one worst! And Sonic Labyrinth was Number Five! What is with that!?
I JUST now (literally five menit before menulis this) saw a YouTube video called “Iron Gamer” where they had four people play Sonic: The Fighters, and they LOVED IT. And one of them hadn’t even heard of the game, atau knew anything about it.
As for Sonic R, come on! I’ve played it, I liked it, I know people who like it, anda could look at Somecallmejonny’s review and he even says it’s fun to play, even if it isn’t a great game.
I understand that people were worried when Shadow The hedgehog came out, then Sonic 06, then slightly better Sonic And The Secret Rings, but it got better after that, and during those we got the Rush games, and some other good ones.
One game specifically got a lot of undeserved hate, Sonic Unleashed. I mean, this game had the most speed, the best graphics, the best voice-acting, a cool plot, a good amount of levels, and it was demoted because of the werehog!? Where I’m concerned NO ONE should judge the game based on the werehog. Why? Because it’s a matter of opinion on if it’s bad atau good. There really aren’t many flaws to it aside from repetitive music. People like it, but sadly the people who make video all the time got to the internet first, and turned it into an “abomination”. It was connected to the plot, it looked cool, it had cool powers, and while slow it wasn’t too slow. And even if it was bad, it wasn’t enough to say the game didn’t bring Sonic back.
Then we have Sonic and the Black Knight. This game was not nearly as bad as its predecessor “Sonic and the Secret Rings”. It had EPIC music, fair graphics, unique gameplay, and made a good twist around the Knights of the Round meja story. But it was attacked because of the first storybook-game in the franchise.
People constantly either make video dedicated to insulting a sonic game they don’t like (And I’m not just talking about Gligar), atau they will constantly keep the sonic franchise from being in puncak, atas tens because they don’t like it. In a puncak, atas Ten of best Video Game animals, they put Donkey Kong over Sonic… Donkey Kong has less games, is less pretty to look at, and doesn’t even talk. HOW DOES THAT COUNT!? Another example from the same person is where he had puncak, atas Ten best video game heroes. Every time he berkata a different number to transfer, it was a scene from Sonic Unleashed of Sonic running around, but Sonic himself wasn’t even on the list! And even further still, we had these two guys make a daftar of puncak, atas ten best video game villains. Bowser was on it, but not only was Eggman not, but they joked about how he wasn’t, and made this impersonation of him whining about not being on the list.
Y’know I think I can see now why SEGA doesn’t put an extreme amount of effort into certain games anymore. The fan don’t deserve it. YES WE GET IT! SONIC 06 WAS TERRIBLE! SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG WAS TERRIBLE! THAT WAS ALMOST TEN YEARS AGO! IT DOESN’T NEED TO BE BROUGHT UP AGAIN! People have already begun to forget about Mass Effect 3’s ending, and even the final boss in No lebih heroes 2 isn’t used against the series as much as what they do to the Sonic Franchise.
SEGA makes good Sonic games. JUST BECAUSE IT ISN’T what anda are used to, atau even want, doesn’t make it bad, and they’ve been giving the public a lot of that recently. So could anda all KNOCK IT OFF WITH THE JOKES, KNOCK IT OFF WITH THE BASHING, AND KNOCK IT OFF WITH THE HATE!? I can laugh at a joke made at Sonic, I really can, but it has gotten so far past funny, and just to the point of “ALRIGHT! WE GET IT ALREADY!”

And if anyone’s wondering why I’m not listing the Adventure games, I’m not THAT big a fan of SA2, but I still do think those two are great games, I just thought they were a little too old to be used for baru saja game and such.
