” the first episode of special four-part story debuting Monday October 12 at 9 a.m. ET|PT on Disney Channel (7 p.m. ET|PT on Disney Junior), Sofia unlocks a secret world and becomes the storykeeper of magical books. So, basically, she gets our dream job. Along the way Sofia runs into Merida from

) lend their voices to nefarious Prince Roderick and the Narrator, respectively. Yes and yes. Bonnie Hunt (

) reprises her role as Sofia’s aunt, and Eric Stonestreet (

) is back as Sofia’s flying horse, Minimus. We are now 100% into this star-studded cast and literary plot.

Today, Disney Publishing Worldwide is releasing a companion book, and an app will be available on September 8. Both of these set up the story so that we’re all ready when the show premieres. Excellent.
