The house would be focused on growth through self-reflection, through uncovering and overcoming all delusions--ranging from undue pride to fallacious reasoning...fear, hate, and the need for control would be main challenges students would be expected to overcome.

Location: In a corridor never quite visible to students not shown the way to it, there is a door.
The student must place a hand on the door and imagine the scenario which has been set as the pass-path. This might simply be the image of a firefly's flight amongst weeds in a gravel-filled vacant lot. It might be a pertanyaan which requires reflection and meditation. As how the Gryffindor password is passed around whenever it is changed, so too is the Lynceseye pass-path. There are never any right atau wrong answers, only sufficient atau insufficient efforts.
Sufficient effort in thought on the pass-path having been poured into the door, it will become unlocked and the student(s) may enter. The enchanted bridge behind the door, built oleh Lilith Lynceseye herself, leads to the "commonroom" ... a fortified encampment in the depths Forbidden Forest (though still on Hogwarts grounds).
The students are unable and forbidden from leaving the protected encampment to the surrounding forest, though within the encampment itself the forest landscape is largely unchanged.
Beforested, students can lebih readily connect with the older magic of the land, and have opportunity to develop self-governance and to learn to value their community.
Associated "Element": Electricity / Aether.
Specialized Subject(s): All predictive and investigative spellwork and divination. Subjects which especially get at the roots of magic. Studying the mind itself.
The house ghost was one of the first pupils of Lynceseye. She jawaban to the name, "Counsel," and appears as a hooded figure who speaks with a very calm voice, pitched low.
She was known to history as, "The Fateful Woman," or, "Phoebe," and had traveled widely, before she was captured and executed in secret, via poison, for political crimes related to her work as conspirator and educator to peasants of many lands who later rose up in rebellion.
Each rebellion was small, barely recorded, but before her death in her writings, she claimed to know that her work would play a great role in future events.
Today, the Counsel sings the children to sleep, and in short parables, advises them on their troubles.
