((ew what is this
so i'm starting the thing back up oh no
let's see where it goes u guys))
The air was biting coldly against her bare skin, each breath a puff of swirling fog. Green eyes glittered under the light of the snow, watching the skyline with a sense of dread. The feeling had been stirring around in her stomach for quite some time, and she didn't exactly know why yet. As if the trees responded to her thoughts, along the jalan, street they ruffled in a short gust of wind, a small boy taking cover from the flurry of snowflakes. Her pale lips parted in a sigh, and she released the white railing of the front porch. She wondered briefly why she even stepped outside, as she was still in her thin pajamas. Just pure stupidity, she guessed. In the back of her mind, something was telling her that was wrong. Something had pulled her out there, on instinct.
She dragged herself back inside the house, making a beeline to the dapur for some coffee. The rich liquid brewed all too slowly as her fingernails picked at the marble counter.
“Hey there, you're up early.” A voice mumbled, which she recognized immediately.
“As are you.” She replied, turning around to face her brother standing in the doorway, his blonde hair messy in his deep brown eyes. Some may find him attractive, but to her, he was just the analytical sibling who probably won't grow any taller.
“I'm awake because I heard anda rustling around in here for a cup of morning caffeine. Why are you?”
“I couldn't sleep. I'm getting a really bad feeling about things for some reason, Dennis.” Her hands found their way under her arms, shivering both from temperature and ominous thoughts.
“Well, I don't see why anda should be – things have been pretty great around this household.” He shrugged and pulled the coffee out, wandering over to the cabinets for a couple of mugs. “Tally and Ivan are engaged, Gilbert came halaman awal after his trip... it's all bunga and sunshine.”
“I don't think I would consider Gilbert coming halaman awal 'flowers and sunshine.'” She mumbled.
“You're missing the point. There's no reason anda should feel uneasy. It's smooth sailing from here on out, from what I can tell.”
“My gut never lies to me.”
Dennis sighed, resting his elbows against the smooth counter. “All anda do is argue. You're so high strung, I think anda need a break from everything. Your nerves are just on edge.”
Her zamrud, emerald eyes rolled, not saying another word. He had a point, but she was sure that wasn't the cause. True, she was stubborn as a bull, but she had never believed so strongly in her intuition.
She laughed. "You'll see - this time, I'll be right, and everyone will die because they didn't believe me." She berkata sarcastically.
"Or you'll die yourself - it's like the boy who cried wolf. Or, in this case, the Zana who cried disaster." He arched his eyebrows, thumping her shoulder as he strode out of the room.
Suddenly, the thought didn't seem so funny anymore.
