Usually when I get this excited for an episode, it always blows out of proportion and does a complete 180 on the quality I expect. smallville has delivered some overwhelming Clois moments and the conflict among Clark, himself and Zod has been well established, but I was still waiting for the other shoe to drop and it kept on strong. The effects were widely attractive, like the action scenes and the consistency with Season 8 Lois.

Finally the wait is over, smallville is back! I think I was a bit overexcited for 'Disciple' and I tried my best to be subtle, because sometimes when I get excited for a series' return, my expectations go through the roof and I end up feeling disappointed at the end of the show... which I am glad wasn't the case here.

I did expect a big comeback for Lois and Clark, seeing that they finally admitted to themselves how they felt for each other. Sometimes writers have the tendency to lose all inspiration and creativity when they place characters together, which I feared for the most in the opening...

When I first heard about Smallville, I was very hesitant to give the tampil a chance. A tampil that took place before Clark Kent became superman seemed like a big step in the wrong direction. I feared it would be the most underwhelming superman tampil ever, so I avoided it for over a decade.
