Rocha's POV:
I finally got settled into the warm, cozy tempat tidur under the red blankets. I closed my eyes for a few moments until I heard footsteps then felt Shadow crawl onto the tempat tidur beside me. He must have thought that I was sleeping because he didn't even take the blanket from me. "It's okay Shadow... I'm awake." I saw him gladly take the blanket in the bright moonlight, then we just lay there staring at eachother. "Shadow..."
"Yeah." he said, bringing his hand under his head.
"I need to talk to you."
"I need to talk to anda too."
"Me first." Shadow chuckled softly as I began what I had to say, "Before anda freed me, anda promised me that anda would tell me why your life was so... screwed up... remember?"
"I don't remember much. Actually I dont remember anything except for bits and pieces of the past and those who are important to me..." Shadow trailed off sadly and there was a lost look in his dark, crimson eyes.
"What's wrong?"
"Maria..." Shadow sounded almost haunted as he rasped the name painfully through his mouth. Then he closed his eyes as he was engulfed in morbid memories of the past. "Who is Maria?"
"She's a girl, that I knew a long time ago."
"What do anda mean 'a long time ago'?"
"You see, I wasn't born... I was created."
"Ooh."
"50 years yang lalu oleh Dr. Gerald Robotnik... Dr. Robotnik's grandfather, who was also Maria's grandfather."
"But he's evil!"
"Yes he is, but his grandfather wasn't always evil. anda see, he wanted to help his grand daughter, Maria, so that's why I was created, using DNA from Black Doom. I was created to save Maria... and I failed. She should have never died! She wasn't like them. She was good, and she only wanted to see the world. She never got her wish." Shadow cringed as the wicked memories continued to overwhelm him. I reached my arm out to comfort him, "Good night Rocha."
"Good night Shadow." I felt so tired, all I wanted to do was sleep. So I snuggled into Shadow's chest and fell asleep.

Shadow's POV:
Rocha had fallen asleep and I didn't want to disturb her. But I had woken up and it was still night. I gently lifted her arm off my side and placed it on the bed, then I stood up ever so carefully and walked to the window. I placed my hand on the glass as I observed the bright moon. It was so unusual. I sat down on the window sill and shot a long glance at the silvery-black bat, she was sound asleep and the moon shone beautifully on her smooth, defined face. Why did I feel so.... attatched to her? I wondered as I turned away to stare out the window.

Rocha's POV:
"Noooooo!" I shot up and whimpered wildly. The dream about the city and the shadow and the blood had come to me again. It was still dark out but the moon shone brightly and I saw Shadow come slowly towards me, "are anda alright?" he sat down on the tempat tidur beside me and hugged me. I shook my head. "What's wrong?"
"Oh Shadow! It's these dreams! They're driving me nuts!"
"What dreams?" he looked at me with concern in his crimson eyes. "Tell me, I'm here to listen." I took a deep breath, "You see, it started a long time ago, I started having these dreams about blood and a teardrop fell into it and they swirled together. And lately the dreams have become worse... anda see, I will come to the edge of this cliff only to see the city of Metropolis in ruins... then a meriam is about to destroy the whole world and I am unable to stop it, then all seems hopeless untill a shadow spreads across the city... then it was all okay again, but the shadow turned into a puddle of blood and then the teardrop came again.. I think it means something... I just dont know what!" I shook my head in confusion as Shadow stood up and walked towards the window. I just stared at his handsome form, silhouetted oleh the moon's radiant white light. His shadow cast out on the floor looked magnificent and I stifled a brief smile. "Shad-" I broke off and stared in horror as his hand flew to his chest and he dropped to his knees. I looked on the ground to see what he was staring at and saw none other than his shadow start to pindah and take shape of another hedgehog that looked exactly like him, except that it's eyes were green, it's stripes were blue and it had no mouth. My jaw dropped open and Shadow raised himself from the ground and shot a challenging look at the other hedgehog, "Mephiles, how did anda get here?"
"Shadow, Please... I-I need to ask anda something... I mean no harm, I swear."
"What is it?"
"I am dying, and I need two things from you... the first is to make peace and the detik is-" Mephiles broke off and raised his hands forming a misty smoke and out of the smoke came a young female hedgehog that looked around my age, she looked frightened but hardened at the same time. "Who is this?" asked Shadow. "This is my daughter, Faron Soleanna Soulwing the second, and my last request to anda is that anda be her father once I am gone."
