What amazed me was in the GoF movie, Severus is tall already but at the Yule Ball, he stands beside Karkaroff who is half a head taller !

its odd sometime he looks taller then in the selanjutnya part he looks shorter i wonder if they use the little pads in their shoes to look taller ?

Any example ? I may have missed something... I noticed that in the Boathouse, Severus looked a bit taller than Voldemort. But it's a pertanyaan of light, frame, close up, etc.

I do remember that one book - OotP, if I'm not mistaken - mentioned that he was shorter than Sirius, but since we aren't exactly sure how tall Sirius was either, it doesn't really help anything, heh.

I don't think he was too short, because if he was, Harry would definitely have thrown that in with the rest of his favorit insults when thinking of Snape (pallid, bat-like, greasy haired, etc).

I'm guessing he was probably about average height, maybe a little taller. Somewhere around 5'10 atau so.
