Rhett! absolutly.I agree with everybodies comments. Ashley always seemed, to me anyway, so weak and easily manipulated that i never could understand why Scarlett would think herself in love with him. Rhett understands Scarlett better than she understands herself. So TEAM SCARHETT all the way!!!! :0)

She had a young girls fantasy about Ashley. She also couldn't have him and that sweetened the pot for her. She wanted what she wanted. When Rhett loved her she was too blind and selfish to see that he was the true love of her life. I honestly don't think Scarlett knew what true love was. She only trully loved herself when it came down too it. Lots of good lessons from this movie huh?

Scarlett's love for Ashley was puppy love while her love for Rhett was real.

AGREE with all the above, she was a silly southern belle girl with a crush and it was not love she had for Ashley- she only thought that. She fell deeply in love with Rhett and by the end of the movie you see just how much she truly loves him and wants to be his wife. - She finally grew up after all the sorrow.
