It occurs to me that Isabella is a pretty hated character. As a fan I feel obligated to share why I like her.
First off I'd like to say I cinta her personality, good and evil. Isabella really seemed like she knew what she was doing, no matter how many times she fell she seemed to pick herself up from it. She has this way of playing her words wisely so she could get herself out of trouble. She's one of those people who just keeps trying until it's over. I admire Isabella's confidence and independence as well. Isabella doesn't depend on people like Guy and Robin to save her. In the beginning she had asked Guy and at one point Robin for help, but in the end she handled the situation herself (weather Robin liked it atau not). Isabella had saved herself from getting dominated oleh her sad excuse for a husband with little assistance. I also believe that she is very brave. Had she not been courageous she would've never fled from Thornton in the first place. If it weren't for her bravery she wouldn't have taken that panah fir prince John, and as Robin said; England would've been thrown into a state of anarchy. Another trait I found to be most adjustable is that Isabella is strong willed. Isabella wanted very much to be the sheriff of Nottingham and would stop at nothing to achieve this goal. If not for her strong will she probably would've let Thornton take control of her and become the sheriff, heaven only knows what he would've done to England! Another thing I really cinta about Izzy's personality is that she's unpredictable. One menit she's with Robin, the selanjutnya she's on the bad side. It gives the story a twist, and makes it interesting for me. I also really like her paranoia. Some of anda may find it odd, but I really like characters with mental disorders. Isabella's paranoia is something I personally, can relate to (same with her dislike for her brother). Isabella's large distrust for people is something I share with her. Thus I like her character more, because I can relate to her. But I also feel very bad for her as well.
That's another reason why I like Isabella, because I can feel sympathy for her. People constantly talk of how she's such a horrible, mean, bitch. But they never seem to stop and think, maybe if she was treated better she would be less evil. It is well know that Isabella was sold at the age of 13. To a man who abused her both sexually and physically, and possibly mentally as well. Statistically a lot abused children grow up to have some mental issue atau act aggressively like their abuser. Isabella then escapes her husband seeking protection and an apology from her brother. She receives neither. So not only was she sold, but Guy couldn't even so much as say "hey I'm sorry I sold you, my own sister, to an abuser." Rather he scolded her for it and later used her as a shield when Robin sicks the lion on him! Isabella then seeks comfort in Robin., another thing people hate her for. Do keep in mind that she needs cinta too, with her trust in men already shaken oleh Guy and Thornton, she found a nice guy who seemed to care about her, so like most women she gave him a try. anda can't get mad at someone for falling in cinta can you? If anything people should get mad at Robin for getting over Marian so abruptly, he could've told her he didn't want a relationship at the moment. How was Izzy supposed to know about Marian? But as quickly as their relationship started it ended, Isabella was let down oleh yet another man. As they were dying Izzy spilled her dream to Robin, one in which they were married, had 4 children, and lived a simple farm life. Robin got her hopes up, implying that it was a possibility. Of course right when they got out he broke the news "oh hey, just remembered... Not gonna happen Izzy!" Feeling betrayed and jantung broken Isabella finally snapped. Robin didn't really try to comfort her atau try to keep her as a friend. Surely it's because she's a Gisborne, so she was bound to be evil anyways! I really hated his assumption there. After being betrayed oleh Robin Izzy worked her pantat, keledai off to het back on Prince John's favor, which did work, but was short lived, when her plan to turn Guy in failed. Afterwards she, to avoid being tossed into a dungeon was diberikan away to another man, I don't recall his name. On the way to into the church he proves to be a controlling person, hence him prompting her to smile. That wasn't a request so much as a demand. Finally she managed to get out of that situation oleh taking an panah for Prince John. For a while Izzy was at peace, and then her dear husband came back. He has her dig up riches for him and threatened to hurt her when he hit her alone in a small dark room. Through out the episode he is seen grabbing her face roughly and laughing at her pain. Robin then comes and saves her only to be harassed once lebih when he comes back and threatens to kill her, oleh hand. It totally pissed me off when Robin scorned her for killing Thornton. He was going to kill her first and Robin wasn't man enough to hold his end of the bargain and protect Isabella.
