I was late. I should have been on set an jam ago. I started to run from my recently parked car to my trailer with the hope that maybe I was not the only one who was late. The road between them seemed so oddly long. I ran and ran with the wind blowing in my face and making my hair stop my view. When I was almost there a familiar face showed up. It was Ashley. I started talking very loud, very quickly without noticing the look on her face.
‘Oh my God Ashley I’m so sorry I’m late. And in my first hari ! Crap Catherine must be so pissed off. I don’t know what I was thinking. I….’
‘Kristen…’ She interrupted my monologue.
The moment I shut up I was able to really see her. Her usually sweet traits were now rough and her eyes empty. She looked like she needed a good night sleep. Her face was pale, ironically pale for a so called vampire girl. I looked around us. The set was all quiet, nobody was around. That was strange considering the fact that I got there an jam late. A shiver shook my whole body despite the warm weather. Like I felt something was wrong.
‘What is it ?’ I asked her, afraid to hear the answer.
‘We are not shooting any more. Everything is over.’ Her voice failed and tears appeared in her wide brown eyes.
I was shocked. ‘Why? What do anda mean? What happened?’
‘It’s… Kristen it’s Robert…’
‘What do anda mean it’s Robert?’ I chocked. My voice started to tremble.
‘He…was in a car crash Kristen… Robert… is dead.’
All the blood from my legs was gone and I fell on my knees. Ashley’s words were spinning in my head over and over again. ‘Robert is dead… Robert is dead…he is dead.’
I opened my eyes widely. The light hit my face with such strength that I had to close them again. It took me about 20 detik to realize what had just happened. Of course it was a dream. ‘A stupid dream’ I berkata to myself. Ok so I’m really loosing it if I’m starting to dream about this kind of stuff. I looked at the clock. I was already late like in my stupid dream. For a moment a panicked thought crossed my mind but it was immediately suffocated oleh my natural humor. I’ve seen too many film where when anda dream about something, the selanjutnya hari it will happen the same like in your dream. I got off the tempat tidur with regret ‘cause I couldn’t sleep that much. While I took a mandi, shower and brushed my teeth my thoughts seemed to keep returning to my dream. That’s just bullshit. I never take dreams seriously. Especially this kind of dreams. I so strongly wished to return to the way I was before meeting Robert yesterday. In some odd way that meeting changed everything. But oh no, I was not going down without a fight. I won’t let my thoughts atau the annoying way my jantung is beating influence me.
I arrived on set almost an jam late. Damn the coincidence. Although I decided not to let any kind of dream influence me, I just couldn’t help the need to see Robert as soon as possible. Just to be sure. And there he was, his tall self, playing with a small fluffy dog outside the trailer. My face immediately melted into a smile. I got off the car but in my urge to get to him of course I slipped on the gravel and almost fell. I did my best to get up before he can see me but I seem to have failed.
‘Kristen… Are anda ok?’ He seemed alarmed while he came to me but I definitely sensed a tone of amusement in his voice.
‘I’m fine, I’m fine’ I mumbled. ‘I am lebih like Bella than anda would think right?’ I tried to sound amused but it only half worked. That’s odd, I usually have a great way of making fun of myself. ‘Who’s this little guy?’ I bowed and caressed the small black dog who seemed to like me in an instant. He waved his tail and licked my arm. Apparently I wasn’t the only one who thought that.
‘He seems to like you.’ He giggled.
I was glad. I was really glad that his face seemed to be ok, and his eyes weren’t throwing arrows at me for what happened the last and first time we saw each other. Well it’s not like it was only my fault anyway. But I felt relieved and for the first time since I met him I really thought maybe we can be friends. Maybe it won’t be awkward. Maybe…
