'Reign' CW Season 3 Trailer: 'Scotland's Queen Will Fall', Mary Vs. Two Queens [PROMO]

(Photo : Facebook/Reign) The CW\'s newly released trailer of "Reign" season 3 promises more troubles for Mary, since Catherine and Elizabeth threaten to usurp her throne. Watch the trailer below.

When season three of "Reign" returns this fall, Scotland\'s Queen Mary will face multiple problems.

Of course, one specific problem that is going to cause ample drama in Queen Mary\'s life is Queen Elizabeth.

The CW released season three\'s official trailer, and it seems Mary will have more than a handful of problems. The promotional clip highlights Queen Elizabeth\'s determination to dethrone Mary. With Catherine by Elizabeth\'s side, Mary will face off against two queens.

An ailing Francis does offer his help, but Mary knows she cannot take on two strong Queens.

The question remains who Mary can ask for help when the battle begins.

As previously reported, Mary\'s mother Marie de Guise will make a brief appearance in season three.

Actress Amy Brenneman will reprise her role as the Queen\'s dying mother. But is she enough to hold the fort against Elizabeth and Catherine?

Additionally, an Entertainment Weekly article stated that Catherine and Elizabeth will strike a strong personal alliance.

Catherine de Medici will be the first guest in the Elizabethan court in season three of "Reign."

The CW series has also added several new characters to its cast for the upcoming season.

Actor Tom Everett plays a trusted advisor to Queen Elizabeth, while Greer finds a lover in a sexy pirate.

Moreover, Elizabeth\'s love life will blossom with the addition of a character named Robert Dudley. Dudley is married, hence a love triangle brews amidst the political drama.

Although Mary\'s future seems bleak, fans are hoping that she strikes other alliances to keep the two strong women at bay.

Will Queen Mary be able to battle against Elizabeth and Catherine? Will her mother and Francis\' help be enough to keep the throne?
