I'm Red III in taekwondo, but haven't done it for a while coz I'm abroad. Plan on picking it back up again once in Australia.

However, got to try a few free martial arts classes on exchange (one of the many many reasons why exchange is great and anda should all do one if possible): aikido, judo, jiu-jitsu, and a tai chi/kung fu mix. Was suprised how different they were from each other: judo and jiu jitsu were very much about rolls, got to wield and defend from a model sword in aikido, and really really loved the 'inner strength' thing of the tai chi / kung fu. I enjoyed all of them, but chose to do the tai chi / kung fu one in the long-term. Was both energising and relaxing.

Another person actually making a pertanyaan about Martial Arts :')

As Fanpop's Renowned Martial Artist, I salute anda and encourage your decision to get into things as it not only benefits your Body but your Spirit as well. Take it as improving both our Physical as well as Mental Health in another sense. A sound mind resides in a sound body and this form of Art encompasses this principle perfectly.

-I currently practice Wing Chun. A Kung Fu Style. Used to do Aikido for a good amount of time as well and gained a decent amount of experience. Would like to return to it at some point, I must say and already planning on it once my current Training is complete. During my years, I have also went through Karate, Judo and Taekwondo Classes but couldn't stay for long due to various circumstances in my life at that time. Still, I took some certain valuable lessons that I haven't forgotten.

About your Question, Coke, I'd suggest to do some research. There are basically two different categories of training when it comes to Martial Arts. It's about whether anda are interested in a Traditional atau Competitive level. Kickboxing and then advancing to MMA correlates to the later for example. Look things up and visit a School / Dojo of your choice. Observe the teaching there and do a test drive. anda don't have to enroll at once so no need for quick / rush decisions. Follow the Style that anda see suiting anda the best. Those are experiences to make the most out of them. Wishing anda the best of luck !!!!
