Why do people like books? Movies? televisi shows? For the same reasons people like books, people like anime.
anime is a world all its own, it is a world filled with endless amount of possibilities. It is inspiring and enrapturing, it has the power to change us. It is an art all its own, a meaning all its own. It isn't just one thing, it's everything, and there is an anime out there for every one, and anyone can enjoy just the right anime.
However, one thing that sets anime apart from buku and film is the way it's told, the way it is so boundless and free. The visuals. Because it's drawn, anda get to see every detail that went on inside the mind of the creator, and that can make a story all the better. It's imagination itself.
Anime. It has a genre for everyone. If anda like Violence and epic battles. DBZ, Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece are right up your alley! If anda prefer school anime with a hint of the supernatural. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, atau Highschool of the dead atau something like that. If anda want a tampil with just acak stuff happening, watch Gintama.
Either way, I like it because it it has something for everyone. no matter what I feel like watching, there is an anime that makes it 10X lebih awesome.
....and the most important reason of all.

Watching anime is alot like membaca a book. It's like escapism and anda can enthrall yourself in interesting new worlds.
And that is one of the reasons why I like anime,video games,comics,manga and most media. I like the characters,scenes,concepts,etc. I mean it is just a story being told just in a different way so instead of being in a book it's in an anime. Another reason I like it because of the artwork and the culture of it. But anime to use alot of cultures from around the globe and throw it in sometimes.
For an example. They made a Darkstalkers anime and Darkstalkers is pretty much a video games like jalan, street Fighter but with monsters. They had a Chinese Zombie. I really liked that concept. It was much different than the western zombies and whatnot. Anyway depending on the anime the reasons why I like it may multiply.
But the main secara keseluruhan, keseluruhan reason why anyone would like anything is because it catches their interests. That is the main and most important factor. glee didn't really capture my interest to an extent I found alot of it to be stupid and annoying in my opinion. While I will not insult someone's tampilan of Glee. I happen to have my own view and the verdict is: I dislike it alot actually. And unlike others I wouldn't want it to be removed. I just wouldn't watch it. I dislike Twilight and others because simply it didn't hold my interest. But alot of anime does hold my interest but then again some don't. anime is a huge genre and there's tons for everyone really. LITERALLY TONS. anda just need to find the one anda like and if anda don't like any other ones anda tried then I would respect your opinion about it. ^^
anime helps me be myself. Last year, I lost a lot of my friends because we started to like different things. anime helped keep me from going crazy. Plus, anime is interesting to watch. And most of the anime I like is hilarious (like hetalia atau Baka and Test). I don't know, I just cinta anime<3 Plus, I have a huge imagination so I add some anime into my thoughts all the time.
For the same reason I like watching movies, tv shows atau even membaca books. Just to forget the real world for a detik and enjoy being in these completely different worlds
