Why is it everyone puts a label on you?

Okay so I'm sick of people trying to label me and I hate it when others are labeled atau label themselves. Why can't we all just be ourselves instead of having to be an emo, goth atau prep atau stoner? It's just wrong to stereotype everyone. Just because anda like a certain fashion doesn't make anda a certain stereotype. My friends all call me an emo because I dress that way and I'm depressed a lot. It's who I am. I don't consider myself an emo. Isn't it just annoying?

ikr!!! some ppl in my school call me a menggerutu, jalang just because i like wearing shorts and huge shirts, cmon ppl, not just because i dress like that that means im slutty, its so annoying

Uhh...I'm guessing anda haven't read a psychology book lately. Stereotypes and labels saves people time. Think about it. If humans didn't have the ability to label others, then the process of getting to know a person raises the time exponentially. Simply, its being observational and resourceful to label people. Its applying one thing to another. Its not wrong to stereotype people, but I'm not saying that all the stereotypes are true. In that case, people just has to add on to the stereotypes and label to get YOU, instead of relying on the tacked on knowledge.

I am that rich-kid, and it's not fair. Just cause my dad is high in the social ladder doesn't mean I don't have feelings. And I am that loner, anda know? I am awkward. Doesn't do much. But Labels hurt, yet we can't help it. It's what makes us human.

And I agree, it is never fun to be labeled, I'm the geeky/punk/tomboy person. To many slashes, but that seems to be what 'fits' my personalty...

People need to quit it, it get annoying.

I'm ok with people calling me gothic atau a tomboy (and I mean tomboyish to the extream. xD ) because well it's true.

Today, (well actually yesterday, but whatever ^^') I got called 'emo' for the billionth time. I hate how if people see someone whos a bit less than happy, atau is a loner, they instintly just think emo, atau that they cut themselves.. -.-

It's really funny at my school ppl call the populer group the gang it's funny lol I am one of those unpopular smart ppl I take it offensively when I am called a geek but when someone calls me a nerd I take it as there saying I'm smart but it's ok cause I got two BF's who are really nice
