The white wolf slowly opened his eyes and stared at her, whimpering still. His back and slammed into the side of the truck and was throbbing with pain.
The silver wolf knocked heads and bodies with Ryu a few times and possibly sprained his left wrist. He tried lifting his left law but winced and put it back down.

"OK ok." Theresa whispered. She stared at his back intently. "It's OK. It's not broken or anything. Just sore and bruised."
Tailah looked at his paw." Awww baby. " She took out a bandage and wrapped his wrist.

The white wolf nodded and forced himself to stand up despite the pain.
The silver wolf licked her hand as thanks and slowly stood on three legs, his left in the air and close to his chest. He wobbled a bit but did his best to keep his balance.

Theresa sighed sadly as he struggled.
"I'd help you baby.. But you're too heavy.. " Tailah replied.

The white wolf slowly walked over to his brother and the silver wolf leaned against him a bit. Together, they managed to get out on their own.

"Yay! Good job you two!" Tailah remarked.

The wolves nodded.
Daisuke got out of the truck and helped Arci out. "Wow...looks like Uncle Jake has had some battles..."
The house had broken windows and some demon corpses hanging out two of them. The door was hanging by a nail and it was very quiet.

Sora stepped out, but just collapsed forward, barely conscious.
Arein got out and nodded.

Shana stumbled out of the car and fell to her knees next to him. "Sora...please hang in there just a bit more."
Aki stepped out and looked around. "Wow...I hope everyone is okay."

Arein walked over to the door and peeked in.
"Ch-eck.. " Sora gasped for breath. "The.. Base-" Another struggle for breath. "Ment.."
Arein nodded and walked into the house.

Aki quickly followed him.
The inside was chaos. Everything was either in shreds, burned, stained with blood or tossed across the room. Jake was in the far corner of the room, sitting on the ground with his back against the basement door. He head was down and his arm was rested on top of his propped up knee. He looked like he went through many battles and didn't move when they entered the house.

Arein froze. "Jake..."

Jake still didn't move.
Aki covered her mouth to hide her gasp. "Oh my goodness..."

Arein looked away. "Don't tell me.. He's.."

Aki shook her head, looking down. "I-I'm not sure....I can't tell...i-if he's breathing or not..."

"Shit. Keep Sora out!" Arein remarked.
Arci nodded and ran back out.
There was weak scratching at the door.
Arein looked at the door.
"Jake.. Jake... Jake.. " Cc's weak voice could be heard.
"Cc?" Arein remarked.
"Arein...?" Cc replied weakly.

"Aunt Cc!" Aki exclaimed. "Are you okay? How's Sakura?"

"Sl-eeping.." Cc whispered.
Arein sighed. "She must be hungry and tired..." He looked at Jake. "Cc.. I don't know if Jake.."
"Huh.. " Cc replied, voice sounding like she was about to cry.

Daisuke took a deep breath and slowly approached Jake. "Jake...are you...okay?"
Aki gripped Arein's arm, nervous.
Daisuke slowly reached out and lightly touched his shoulder.
Suddenly, Jake pounced on top of Daisuke and pinned him to the ground.
Aki gasped. "Jake, no!"
Jake didn't seem to hear as he snarled at him before rolling off and collapsing on his side.
Daisuke slowly sat up, shocked. He looked at Jake and saw just how wounded he was. He had passed out again. He put his fingers to his pulse and gulped. "I...I can barely feel his pulse...." He whispered.

Arein nodded. "He needs blood. But he needs to be awake to drink it." He grabbed a blood pack from the fridge and walked back over.
Arci unlocked the door, and opened it.
Cc was laying on the steps, holding Sakura close.
Arci took Sakura from her gently.
Cc collapsed forward all the way.

Daisuke shook Jake lightly. "Jake! Wake up! Jake!"
Jake didn't move.
Aki rushed to Cc's side and helped her sit up. "Hang on!" She rushed into the kitchen and came back out with a glass of water. She put the glass to Cc's lips. "Drink this."

Cc sipped the water.
Arein opened the blood packet. "Jake.. Wake up man." He held it near Jake's nose.
"Wh-y are you guys here?" Cc asked, trying to keep her attention away from Jake.
"It's Sora.. " Arci replied, rocking Sakura.

Jake still didn't move.
"Sora and Shana went to hell and breathed in some poisonous air. Now Sora is coughing up blood and Shana can't stand." Aki explained.

Cc sighed. "I see.."
Arein looked at Cc. "Maybe you could check your husband first."
Cc crawled over. "He won't die. But he's very very weak."

Daisuke looked at her. "He won't wake up no matter what we do. Not even the scent of blood is getting him."
Aki hugged herself as she looked at his body. "He must have fought for a long time...even to the point of almost dying."

Arci kneeled down and Sakura got free of her grip.
"Dada..." Sakura crawled over to Jake. She grabbed his hand and bit his finger.
"Sakura. No!" Cc picked her up quickly.
Sakura giggled and reached out for her daddy. "Nom Nom Dada!"

Jake's eyes shot opened, bright red and fangs out. He gasped and coughed up blood.
Aki gasped. "Uncle Jakey!"

Cc looked at Sakura, shocked.
Sakura giggled.
Arein set the blood pack in front of Jake. And backed away.

Jake grabbed the patch and sunk his teeth into it, draining it within seconds. He threw it away but his eyes were still red. Only a few minor scratches healed. He coughed again and laid down on his side, trying to control his breathing.

"Arein. Go get a couple more." Cc remarked.
Arein rushed into the kitchen and came back with 3 blood packs. He set them in front of Jake.
Sakura still reached out for her Daddy. Now getting a bit angry her Mommy wasn't letting her go to him. "Dada! Dada!"
Cc stroked her hair. "A little bit longer sweetie."

Jake sunk his fangs in each one and drain them. A few more wounds closed as he sighed. "It's...okay..." He slowly sat up and looked at Sakura. "She can come here."

Cc set Sakura down.
Sakura crawled over to her Daddy, giggling. "Dada! Dada!"

Jake picked her up and held her close. "There's my little princess. I'm so glad your safe." He kissed her forehead. "Thank goodness...."

Sakura giggled and nibbled on his shirt.
"Huh? She's nibbling on his shirt like it's food. " Arein remarked.
Cc nodded. "Well he is covered in blood." She took out the pocket knife from her pocket and cut her thumb, with a wince. She crawled over to her husband and daughter and held her thumb near Sakura.
Sakura stopped nibbling on her daddy's shirt, and grabbed her mommy's thumb with her tiny hands and began sucking the blood.
Arein nodded. "That makes sense."

"Aunt cc, I know you're tired and hungry but Sora really needs to be looked at." Aki said, worried.

Cc nodded. "Right..." She pulled her finger away.
Tailah and Theresa helped Sora in and laid him down.
Arci helped Shana in and sat her down.
Cc crawled over to her son. "Hey baby.."
"Mo-m... " Sora uttered.
Cc stroked his hair from his eyes. "We're going to find out what's wrong with you.. Ok?"
Sora nodded and let his head fall to the side.
Cc set his head in her lap and lifted up his shirt, she placed a hand on his heart. She closed her eyes. Her hand slowly moved down his chest slowly but suddenly froze. "Shit.." She hissed under her breath.
"What?" Arci asked.
"Hemoptysis. Whatever he breathed in, it really damaged his lungs. Really bad.. " Cc remarked.
" Is he going to.. " Theresa couldn't even finish her sentence.
" No sweetheart. But he's going to have hard times breathing for the rest of his life. He'll definitely need a inhaler."
Sora coughed up more blood.
Cc stroked her son's cheek. "As for the coughing up blood. It's only temporary. There's blood in his lungs, but it's almost gone.."
All 3 girls sighed in relief.

Shana looked down sadly, unable to speak.
Aki sighed in relief. "Thank goodness. He'll be okay..."

Sakura got out of her daddy's arms and crawled over to her big brother.
Sora smiled weakly. "Hey Sakura.."
Sakura sat down and laid her head on his tummy. "Soo-soora.. L-la-lave Soo-ra."
This made Sora smile even more. "I love you too Sakura."

Jake smiled weakly. "Thank goodness....your...okay..." He fell backwards and passed out.

Sora passed out as well.
Cc giggled. "Nap time already?"
Arci laughed a bit.

Aki giggled. "Well I guess they both deserve a nap. They have done so much. Especially uncle jakey."
Daisuke nodded. "Yeah. Maybe we should all rest for a bit before heading out again."

"Is that... Safe?" Theresa asked.

"Well...we can have two people watch guard while others sleep. Then after a certain a mount of time, they switch with someone else." Daisuke said.

Theresa nodded.
"That's a good idea. " Arein remarked.

Daisuke nodded. "Okay. I'll stay watch. I need one more person to join me."

Arein nodded. "I'll do it."

"No!" Aki exclaimed and held his arm. "You're still not stable. What happens if you lose control again. I can't lose you."

"Aki. I'll be fine. I promise." Arein remarked.

Aki still didn't looked very convinced but didn't push any further. She kissed him softly and pulled back. "Just...come back safe okay?"

Arein nodded. "I will." He stroked her cheek. "I have too much that I'll lose if I don't."
