Is there an option between "ok" and "great"? I didn't think it quite reached "great" level, but it's certainly better than just "ok". Honestly, I felt very satisfied with *SPOILERS* Alex.
Yes, I do think it could've been tied in more, but I can't complain. None of us guessed she would have a British accent, which I thought it was a nice touch. I loved the scene where all the girls are saying goodbye, and Ali says "It feels like the end of something."
This show has had some moments I really, deeply hate, but it's also had a lot of moments I really, really like! I will forever cherish this show, no matter how much crap it put all of us through. I'll miss it. I will miss these characters and actors. I will miss theorizing almost every other day. I will miss reading theories.
Rest in peace, PLL.

This final episode of PLL was perfect and the best way to end the series became the show came full circle since it began with Alison, Aria, Spencer, Hanna, and Emily and ended with a nice throwback to the pilot with Addison's disappearance.

Still so many questions but that was expected I think lol. Idk I nearly picked "great" because watching (up to a point) I did enjoy it. I expected more when it came down to Alex, tie-ins like @hatelarxene said. More with Melissa, the fact it was Toby's house with all this built underneath. I've just chosen to believe Toby helped her build it tbh (:

The entire show became a train-wreck after bringing Alison back. The whole show wouldn't have sucked as much if they had the gumption to make Alison be the ultimate A (which there's subtle hints that she really was and that she was so good at it she was never even caught, which is the only way to justify that horrible ending) and the only way the show really could've gone 'full circle' like Marlene teased, would've been if at the very end either Alison died or disappeared again, which would've honestly redeemed the show and been probably one of the best plot twists they could've gone with but instead they chose to cater to the most abusive fans I've ever met in my life (Emison stans) and make their horrid, abusive and toxic ship canon by literally forcing these two characters together despite their lack of chemistry or their lack of any romantic interest in one another and ruin one of the best and healthiest relationships in the show in the process. Paige was an amazing character and after all those years of suffering, both she and Emily deserved their happy ending together. They earned it. Alison was dodgy from the start and even when she allegedly changed for the better her vitriol showed through. The fact that the biggest bully got a 'happy' ending while the victims of her abuse get squat is an egregious injustice and the fact that show chose to support all these unhealthy relationships and make them endgame rather than show a more feminist message where these women decided to break away from the norm and chase their own mental health and happiness rather than settle with these relationships that are doomed from the start for the sake of not being alone is really bad form for a show as progressive as this was meant to be. Emily was one of the first queer MAIN characters in teen television. The first one to be on the show and endowed with as much importance as the rest of the regular characters instead of be sidelined and show up on occasion to do or say something cliche. She was not a walking stereotype and she was a woman of color and she hit things off with a great start, so the show was looking really good on the representation front but eventually victim to many negative queer tropes such as hide your gays and stuffed in the fridge and so on and the fact that the more butch looking female queer character was literally bullied in real life by the fandom speaks volumes about the sort of influence a certain Alison character has over the population. Like 'it's okay to be gay, but not too gay' or whatever. Anyway I've gone into it too much but basically the whole show, not just the last episode but the entire show is pretty much trash because the showrunners allowed themselves to be bullied by the fandom which sends this 'bullying is ok' mesage that I wholeheartedly loathe.

^^^ Agree with most all of this, especially about the anti-Alison & anti-Emison.
