Only because I love Indian food. I happen to know from experience that Finnish is one of the hardest languages in the world to learn.

Yep. Finnish is a bitch to learn... but my husband's mom reverts to that language when she gets stressed so I'd like to be able to understand it.

waterlilybarb picked Punjabi (spoken mainly in India):
Mainly because there are more people you could speak to with this language than the others.
Personally, I'm trying to learn Mandarin. It's coming along, albeit rather slowly, but only because I've been too lazy to learn more. I keep practicing what I already know though.

shoko picked Turkish (spoken mainly in Turkey):
Well this country is close to Israel (where i live), so if i will learn to speak this language, i can go there if there will be a big war in my country.
I think refuge who live in Israel wish they learn to speak in Hebrew.

Kia Ora. Ko joose32 taku/toku ingoa. Which means Hello my name is joose32 :D I know the basics and it's closer to my real language which is Cook Island and I have no idea how to speak that except Kia Orana which means Hello and a few other random words like "pato taringa" (don't know how to spell it) but I think it means "you don't listen" or "I'm gonna clip your ears" because that's what i heard right before my ears got clipped when i was lil XD
