in season one we were introduced to her as being a bitch and she was insacure and was a totally different person to what she is now

She's completely different from what she was in season one and I love her for that!

Brooke or Nathan - it's a hard pick!

i have to say nathan...though brooke has changed alot too. the reason I say nathan is because i hated nathan through the first 4 seasons and now in season 5 i actually like him....as for brooke ive hated her since the beginning still do...i'd say she's a lot better now but in many cases she still acts like she did in season 1

i think i could argue for haley too, but she doesn't come close to nathan or brooke

I would have said brooke, but she's still kept her quirkiness for familiarity. Since hales became a mother, her character is almost unrecognizable since s1. I still like her character, but the only thing she kept from s1 was a good head on her shoulders about doing the right thing. she told luke off when he cheated on brooke and she did pretty much the same thing to peyton when she caught her and luke kissing...Nate and Peyton have changed a lot too. they've both grown in their maturity: especially Peyton. Peyton's much more independent and offers a lot to her friends (sage advice, a shoulder to cry on, moral support, and help should they need it). Nate still has problems with being completely open and honest with the ppl closest to him.

she used to be one of my favorites and although she is getting less annoying she is still not as cool as she used to be....
she used to be independent but now she relys on other people and she is a lot more whiny.
or brooke i don't like her as much as i used to this season (but i still love her the most)she is different and not in a good way

nathan he has changed soo much turning from a butthole to a really nice guy...

brooke is not as slutty anymore, shes grown up a lot and i love it :P

peytons always had good reason to whine - she never actually whined, she held it in and then cried!

I don't think you should completely write off Lizisme, even if saying this is gonna make me unpopular =p I dont actually agree with her because peyton bugged me with the fact I felt her character was just there to brood and suffer through season 1 to 4. I now like Peyton however because in S5 her behaviour was incredibly noble with Lucas. Brooke has evolved more than any other character though, 'Brooke davis is going to change the world someday'.
