I do take into account that the actresses did have other projects that would get in the way of their schedule if they wanted to make this more developed. I'd say, in it of itself, it was good. Though it's odd that it wasn't Mulan in the relationship.

I still haven't seen the episode yet, but from what I know of it and from what I've heard from plot summaries and other people's reviews on the matter, I'd say it was both too rushed and too insignificant. The fact that it all happened in one episode is kinda iffy to begin with, but from what I've heard, they knew each other for like two hours and suddenly they're true love? Then there's the token factor -- what I mean by that is that both these characters are guest stars, and neither is essential to the plot, so don't really have an impact on the show and the only real purpose of their relationship is to say there was representation and move on with the important, hetero relationships.

I'm still pretty bitter about this, I mean there were lots of ways that they could have developed this storyline without it seeming so random and frankly insulting. Apparently Lana actually apologized for how the representation was handled in an interview once.

This where my issue with it lies. And I am a bit salty that it isn't Swan Queen.

I like aspects of it - basically having a LGBT couple at all and the fact that they had a TLK meant that the couple was being treated as equally worthy as any heterosexual couple. But the fact that they were only in one episode meant it couldn't not be rushed. I also would have liked to see Mulan finding happiness with someone after her unrequited love for Aurora in previous seasons.
